I got an interview for next year's racist riots when they saw my fastball. I have the reading comprehension of a six year old though so I'm overqualified. š¤·
I will be making a return to posting soon.
Not gonna lie - it's been amazing not having to think at all about social media for the first time in nearly a decade.
One thing I found is that, because I started posting for my business so young (19), I've always felt this awkwardness in talking about training on socials. I came out of PT school full of p**s and vinegar - with dogmatic takes and advice I full heartedly believed with no nuance, I no longer believe in half of it. 50% of my posts are me awkwardly trying to disagree with my old self - This time? It's a clean slate - I want to focus on the stuff I care about now.
Now, obviously, some s**t happened and I went MIA - but I have to say the weight off my shoulders has been truly something else. Don't ask in the DMs what happened, who did what and why I stopped - it's just nosey and I don't owe you an explanation. The people who need to know, know.
Since I disappeared - I've completely stopped training. I haven't touched weights other than with my clients since early May. (This was intentional). I needed a break from "PT Tom" and to just exist as "Me Tom" for a while.
Life is looking good. I'm on the up - and when I'm ready - I'm going to come back. When that happens, I'm going to show the process of me getting my groove, but for now? I'm going to enjoy this a bit longer.
Disconnect sometime - it might be the best thing you do for yourself.
Stay safe
Tom
