⛵️ EDYC SUCCESS AT THE ARDGLASS RACE! ⛵️
Today’s Ardglass Race was certainly good news for EDYC! 🌊
With 6 of the 13 boats in the fleet coming from our club, it was a fantastic showing from EDYC — and even better, 3 out of the 4 classes were won by our sailors! 🏆👏
Huge congratulations to:
🥇 Dawn Stocking — YTC 2RS
🥇 John Patterson — YTC 1RS
🥇 Richard Ramsay — YTC 2
Three class wins is a fantastic achievement and a great reward for all the hard work and sailing throughout the season. 💪⛵️
It was a brilliant day on the water, with challenging conditions, plenty of choppy seas and some rollercoaster waves — but lots of fun along the way! 🌊😄
A massive well done to all the EDYC crews who took part. Six boats representing the club and three class wins is something to be very proud of!
And finally… more offshore racing please next year! 😉⛵️⛵️⛵️

🏁 EDYC TO ARDGLASS RACE — SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2026 ⛵🌊
With the end of the sailing season fast approaching, it’s time for one of the big ones — the EDYC to Ardglass Race, the final race in the four-race Strangford Lough Regatta Conference (SLRC) Offshore Series!
The SLRC offshore races bring together four highlights of the sailing calendar:
🏝️ Isle of Man Race
🌊 Bar Buoy Race

Starting from Holme Bay at 11:00, crews will race through Strangford Lough, out through the Bar Mouth and into the Irish Sea, before heading for the finish at Ardglass Harbour.
