What a long, emotional and incredibly hard competition weekend for everyone at Icon Dance Company 🧡🖤

This competition pushed our dancers in every way, but every single one of them handled it with maturity, courage and determination. The results are absolutely something to be proud of, but for us, what matters most is stepping on that stage and giving everything you have and that’s exactly what they did 🧡

This competition is extra special as it marks our very first time competing Hip Hop teams at this event — and we are SO excited to see our dancers hit the floor and show everyone what they’ve been working so hard on 🔥

Just a little reminder that Icon Dance Company will be closed for the Easter holidays from Monday 6th April and we will reopen Monday 13th April.

What a day from start to finish at Scottish Dance Events 29/03/26 ✨

From the minute we arrived to the very last performance, the standard of talent in that room was incredible… and my Icons rose to it in every single way. I could not be prouder 🧡🖤

Only our second time attending this competition, and the way our dancers carried themselves, performed and supported each other showed exactly what ICON is all about. Confidence, teamwork, passion and heart 💫

A huge moment for us as well seeing our Musical Theatre teams take to the floor for the very first time… and wow, you all went out there and owned it. Full of energy, character and confidence — you didn’t just dance, you performed 🎉

What a day we had yesterday at Infinity Dance Frenzy… honestly I’m still not over it! 🧡🖤

From the very first steps on the floor right through to the final dances of the day, our Icon dancers were incredible. The improvements in their dancing, confidence and performance were amazing to see, and the results just topped it all off.

From our tiny U/4’s right up to our U/16 dancers, every single one of you danced from the heart and showed just how much you love being on that floor. Watching you all grow, support each other and give it everything you’ve got makes me so proud to be your teacher.

A huge thank you to all the parents for your continued support — the cheering, encouragement and commitment never goes unnoticed and it means so much to the kids and to the school.

And a big thank you to Lauren and Julie for running the school while I was busy hosting the competition. I really appreciate it 🧡

Good luck to all our Icon Dance Company dancers competing tomorrow at Infinity Dance Frenzy 🧡🖤

You’ve all been working so hard in the studio and it really shows. The effort, the improvements and the determination from everyone has been amazing to see.

Tomorrow is your chance to step on that floor and show everyone what you can do. Dance with confidence, perform with your heart and enjoy every minute of it.

A special good luck as well to our dancers doing jazz solos for the first time — go out there, have fun with it and put on a show. I can’t wait to see you all bring the energy to the floor.

Remember competitions aren’t just about trophies or placements. It’s about getting up there, being proud of your routines, supporting each other and making great memories along the way. One of the things that makes me most proud is how our dancers always cheer each other on and stand together as a team.

So tomorrow give it your all, leave everything on that dance floor and most importantly have fun doing what you love.

💥 Upstaged Dance Championships – What a Day! 💥

Yesterday was our first time competing at Upstaged Dance Championships Scottish Dance Events, and honestly… our kids did not disappoint.
The biggest competition we’ve taken on to date, the talent in the hall was on another level, and we loved every single minute of it 🧡🖤

From my tiniest Icons right through to our U/16s — you all stepped your game up. Amazing dancing, brilliant attitudes, and so much fun together from start to finish. That energy, support, and teamwork is exactly what ICON is all about 💫
