Hey Iain, howโs training going?
Yeah nobody asked me that ๐
But itโs been hella good even after a three week slump after my last competition!
I recently moved to where Iโd been doing PT with where Iโve progressed massively in such a short time!
I mean this guy can bloody do 9 handstand push-ups unbroken ๐
There were many reasons I needed a change of scenery and it wasnโt anything negative about the gym I coach my clients out of, I genuinely will never stop coaching there!
What it wasโฆ
I was โtryingโ to โpushโ myself in horrible sessions myself which was making me question whether I wanted to continue with CrossFit.
Trying to push yourself through some dark spaces where it would be easy to quit is so hard by yourself โ ๏ธ
So I joined a gym who had classes on at times I was free during the day and because there were some absolute units like these guys that I trained with today!
Iโve trained with mums, men in their 50s, kids in their early teens and people whoโve competed at the highest level which Iโve loved.
I feel part of something or a team if you say which Iโve been missing since I stopped playing rugby.
Another big factor was that I needed to separate work from training!
Iโm in a gym all day and sometimes it can be 10-11 hours in the same place.
Itโs a bit like working from home and deciding to work in a coffee shop a couple of days to freshen it up.
So yeah trainings good and I canโt bloody wait to compete in one of the biggest UK comps being the ๐ฏ

This is the ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐จ๐ง๐ goal for me as a coach โ๏ธ
Weโve all had those pricey things weโve bought and had slight โbuyers remorseโ!
You enter your pin or sign the papers and go f**k should I have done that?
Sometimes it can be a massive mistake but mostly the best decision youโve ever made.
Iโm so glad Dale thinks exactly that!
He was probably one of my most sceptical clients at the startโฆ
Heโd been stung before by other coaches before!
They had more joy watching him being sick, failed to recognise him as a human with โreal lifeโ human needs and feelings.
Not once but twice ๐
Itโs a bit like when the cowboy car dealer sells you a s**t car so you assume all will be the same!
Thatโs not true thereโs a tonne of good people in our industry there to help and deliver to your needs.

Behind the scenes at the very first ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ญ! ๐ธ
Some dieted for 6-8 weeks and others were ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ a 10-12 month journey.
The ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐, ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ & ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ shined through today and I couldnโt be more proud of these guys!
Working towards a transformation is one thing but to get involved in a photoshoot is massively uncomfortable for most.
Thereโs that extra pressure!
A time-scale and a target of the shoot gave them extra ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ of their journey.
They didnโt want to let themselves down or feel out of place but I can ensure you that everyone looked fantastic!
Watching Dale and Jonny walk around with their tops off in public was ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐
For Gillian and Kirsty it made them feel ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ , ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ and ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ of how far theyโve come in their journey ๐ช
Big Dean let his hair down and it was genuinely a joy to see him relax and have ๐๐ฎ๐ง with the experience ๐ฅณ
Iโm massively proud of what ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ has become in three years!

Houston we have landed ๐
Itโs โmission completeโ for Dale!
Looking back there was one goalโฆ

Tomorrow you get married!

What stops the everyday person from getting these type of results?
Before working with Everyday Strong they all had one year of gym experience at most.
These people were never gym or fitness fanatics and they still arenโt.
Itโs just something alongside eating well thatโs become integrated into their lifestyle.

Happy New Year everyone ๐
You might be hungover right now but this can be a great year!
January 1st 2022 hypothetically brings a โcleanโ slate.
A fresh set of 365 days.
52 weeks.
12 months.
8760 hours.
525600 minutes.
You can literally re-write your own path in fitness, strength, physical and mental health.
Progress in whatever you may do might not show until June,
maybe even December 31st 2022.
But your effort should remain the same high standards every month!
Through the highs and lows that you may come across,
control what you can control and donโt dwell for too long on the things you canโt control!
It will come!
