Why is this horse blind folded? He is in training for some forms of the joust popular in Germany from the late 15th to early 16th century (pictured here in Freydal).
The horse would also have bells around them blocking out the other sounds of the joust.

Today is the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge, fought on 4th September 1526. My painting shows Sir James Hamilton of Finnart overseeing the artillery, one of eight I created for the Osprey book Scottish Renaissance Armies 1513-1550.

A "beginners training" today, bringing on some of the greener horses and humans.
It doesn't look a dramatic but it's important that training is done in gradual stages so as not to overload the horses or humans

After discussion within the team we come to you with a promise:

So much of the reenactment circuit is home to artists and crafters. To use AI art is insult to them.

AI 'history' posts only repeat, they cannot critically assess sources so often repeat misinformation.

And at the end of the day we are 'Wild' knights and AI causes ecological damage.
