The clocks have officially gone back. Were you one of the lucky few who gained an extra hour in bed? Or was it an extra hour of your child’s favourite TV show?

One thing we can all relate to is that the nights will now be longer. This can make it harder to spot pedestrians.

So, please remember:

⭐Be bright, be seen. Wear bright clothing during the day and reflective clothing or accessories after dark
⭐Always choose routes and cross at places that are well-lit
⭐Where possible, cross the road at a pedestrian crossing
⭐Remind older children who travel by themselves about road safety and the additional hazards in Autumn/Winter
⭐Devices can be a major distraction, so encourage your child to put them away and take any headphones out while crossing the road

🔴⚫️⚪️

We were back in league action yesterday morning for our away match against Troon Thistle 2015s. Luckily we managed to escape the madness of the worst of the weather to get the match played. A real good battle between the two sides with both teams having chances in the game to score however the keepers at both ends stood up well plus the woodwork. The wet and windy weather played its part in the 2nd half in disrupting the flow of the game with our players giving everything in the second half to try and score but the scoreline remained even and it is probably first time our 9's games have ended goalless😃

Well done to all the players from the coaches 👍🔴⚫️🔴⚫️🔴⚫️

⏰ CLOCKS GO BACK THIS WEEKEND! ⏰
Don't forget, British Summer Time officially comes to an end tonight! When 2:00 AM rolls around on Sunday, 25th October, the clocks will turn back one hour to 1:00 AM.
The good news? An extra hour in bed tomorrow morning! 🛌💤
The bad news? The dark afternoons are officially here, and winter training mode is well and truly activated.
Mind you, with Storm Boelo battering us with wind and rain over the last 24 hours, Mother Nature already gave us the heads-up that summer is long gone! ⛈️💨 Stay safe out there if you are traveling, keep warm, and make sure your manual clocks get changed before you head to sleep tonight.
Enjoy the extra hour of rest, everyone! ❤️🖤⚽

The Met Office has issued an Amber warning for strong winds across Scotland ⚠️

The Amber warning will be in place from Saturday, 24 October, 9pm until Sunday, 25 October, 9pm.

Advice:
- Be prepared for disruption to travel
- Consider delaying travel until conditions improve
- Plan ahead
- Do not ignore road closure signs
