One of the reasons our Canicross Leader Course gets such good feedback from our students is because it’s not just a tick-box course.
Of course we cover all the basics you need to know, but we actually break them down and make you think about how you would use them in a real class.
How do you deliver a session?
How do you adapt it for different people and dogs?
How do you progress your groups?
How do you keep things interesting and varied?
And what do you do when something doesn’t quite go to plan?
Because those are the things you actually come across when you’re running classes.
We live and breathe Canicross. We don’t just know what the sport is — we actively train it, compete in it, coach it and run classes every week. Things are constantly evolving and we’re always learning and adapting too.
The course is interactive, with video content alongside the written work, and I personally mark your work.
If you need a bit more guidance, I’ll give you that too. You’re not just handed a course, expected to tick the boxes and then left to it.
I’m there throughout to answer questions, give feedback and help you get to the point where you actually feel confident going out and running your own sessions.
Because being a good Canicross Leader is about much more than knowing the basics.
It’s about knowing how to actually coach people and their dogs. 🐾
