This is just a heads up for everyone regarding the pool session on Tuesday. The focus is going to be on 'RESCUES', that is 'self rescue', 'peer rescues' and 'rescues of other crafts'. There will be both kayaks and paddleboards in the water, so regardless of where you are in the grand scheme of things this is always a good thing to keep practising to maintain your skills or get first hand help with new skills. So lets get everyone to the pool on Tuesday for this session. Nose clips will be needed as well!!

Well first of all, I would like to wish everyone at the club a Very Merry Christmas and when it comes a Happy New Year. Now down to business, the details for next Saturday's trip away. For those that need boats from the club can you please be there for as close to 8am as you can. We will then load up the trailer and aim to be away for around 8.30am. It is about an hour and a half travel to get to the put in at Crianlarich, so looking to be there for around 10am. We will then unload get the boats down to the river, do the shuttle and then all being well, be on the water by 11am. The plan is then to have a gentle paddle down the river fillan, into loch dochart investigate the ruin castle, carry on down to loch lubhair have a look around it and then finish at the picnic area for around 2pm. We will then load the boats back up onto the trailer, get ourselves changed and then have a more leisurely and enjoyable lunch, without the pressure of having to stay warm and carry on to the get out, as we will already be there! Just to remind you this trip is suitable for all levels and all crafts, I am thinking of taking my paddleboard. I hope this works for you all and I look forward to seeing many of you there on Saturday. As always, any questions then just let me know.

Hi all, Saturdays session. Due to the fact that the canal is very likely to still be frozen on Saturday morning, we have decided to still have one but go somewhere, where we know the water will be ice free. So we are going to have a half day session on the River Forth. For those that know the M9, we will be getting on just below the bridge that goes over the river. To help people locate it, if you turn off of the M9 as if you are going to Callender, then at the roundabout turn right (3rd exit), and the about 400m there is a turning left (before you get to the Shell Garage) follow that road to the very end and park in the parking area on the right. If you are needing to get a boat from the club, then could you please be there by NO LATER than 8.30. It is again a session that is suitable for ALL levels.
