Congratulations must go to the whole squad as they finished runners up to Clenchwarton in League 2 of the Norfolk Combined Youth League. A fantastic result for any team, let alone one where most of the players are playing up an age group.

Our thanks go to Danny Barr and Stuart Neal who do such a great job coaching these boys 🙏

Yesterday we posted the players of the season for the under 8’s Blacks and today we are celebrating the winners for the under 8’s Golds 🏆

A big well done to each and everyone of them for another great season developing their football skills ⚽️👏

We also need to say thank you to coaches James McGivern and Wayne Gayton for their time and effort with these youngsters 🙏

Last weekend, we held our end of season presentation. Every player received a trophy and there were awards for the player of the season, as voted by the coaches, parents and players, as well as most improved player.

It was great to get the whole club together to celebrate the season. The football pitches were set up (obviously!), there were inflatables for the kids and a hog roast for everyone. We were also blessed with gorgeous weather ☀️

Thanks to the committee for organising such a great event. Thanks to Kev and his team at West Lynn Sports & Social Club for hosting and to the team at Priors Butchers West Lynn for supplying such a delicious hog roast 🙏

Well done to our under 8’s Blacks winners, and indeed the whole team for their achievements this season 👏 Finally thanks to coach Evan Burbidge for all of the time and effort he has put into the kids over the course of the season 😊

Our under 12’s Golds claimed the Norfolk Combined League 1 title yesterday, with a win at Harleston 🏆

It’s been a fantastic season for these kids with only one league defeat. Not only have they stacked up the wins, they have also played some exceptional football ⚽️

West Lynn FC U12's Golds 8-0 Thetford Town

Freddie opened the defence up with a lovely through ball to Dylan, who finished confidently to make it 1–0.

Victor then provided a great pass for Dylan to grab his second, doubling the lead to 2–0.

Adrian added another assist, playing the ball into Dylan for his hat-trick and a 3–0 advantage.

Dylan turned provider next, setting up Victor to make it 4–0 just before the half-time whistle.

After the break, from a well worked corner delivered from YannIk to the front post for Dylan to flick in extending the lead to 5–0.

Hugo then assisted YannIk for a great finish, making it 6–0.

Leighton got involved with a great pass to Hugo who hit it home for 7–0.

Before rounding things off Leighton takes his chance and succeeds, to complete an 8–0 victory.

With 3 games left The Golds know 3 wins will give them the League Title ! Their destiny is in their own hands and what a fantastic achievement that would be 🤩

PAGS POTM went to Corey for a solid defensive performance. However, the parents had said it was a very difficult decision due to all the boys putting in a really good effort.

Coaches POTM went to a player that not only contributed with 4 goals but his energy and long throws caused the opposition trouble the whole game - it went to Dylan 👏

The under 15’s finished off their season with a dominant performance at home. They retained the ball very well, with lots of possession.

Morley were a spirited side, who battled throughout the game, so full credit to them.

The lads continued to work hard in hot conditions and at half time we discussed how we just needed to increase our intensity and our quality would prevail….

It sure did! We had an aggressive, intense start to the second half which saw a Charlie H half volley from a corner and an Alfie H rocket from 25 yards!!

Special mention to all the boys for their efforts this season with 2nd place finish and only 6 points dropped all season!! Fantastic quality throughout, so well team team 👏 Congratulations to league winners Attleborough.

Again, a bit shout out to the coaches who give up so much of their time ☺️

Our under 8’s Golds finished their season yesterday with a home match against Terrington. They have made great progress again this year and every single one of them has developed their footballing skills 👏

Well done boys and a huge thank you to the coaches James McGivern and Wayne Gayton for giving up their time to allow our youngsters to play football. Grassroots football does not exist without volunteer coaches, so please know how thankful we all are for your efforts 🙏

We must also thank their kit sponsor Mortgage Synergy, who have so generously supported them for a second year ☺️

We have also been asked to thank Samuel, their young referee, who rarely misses a home game and loves watching the kids learn and develop.

Wishing all of the Golds and their families a lovely summer. The league may have finished for them, but they will still be training and have tournaments to look forward to ⚽️

Victor links up with Hugo early on — a sharp move and Hugo finishes clinically! 1–0.

Adrian then sends a long ball through the middle. Freddie gets on the end of it and shoots it past the keeper. 2–0.

Another chance comes from a corner delivered by Adrian. Harry B rises to the occasion and finishes brilliantly. 3–0.

**Half-time: 3–0.**

The second half starts with Jimmy launching a throw-in toward the box. Freds reacts quickest and puts it away. 4–0.

A lovely move follows — started by Freddie who sends a lovely ball through to Victor who finishes confidently. 5–0.

The opposition are awarded a penalty and convert it. 5–1.

But the response is immediate. Freddie shows superb control, plays a perfect pass to Hugo, and Hugo fires it home with authority! 6–1.

So this week's PAGS POTM and Coaches POTM went to the same player, for a non stop performance, taking his goals, set up play and tackling back . Well done Freddie 👏
