๐Ÿ† MANCHESTER RHC ARE UNDER 17 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS ๐Ÿ†

Manchester RHC claimed the 2026 Under 17 National League title this weekend after a fiercely contested Finals competition at Alive Lynnsport, King's Lynn.

The championship was ultimately decided by the narrowest of margins. Manchester and Letchworth both finished the weekend level on points after winning four of their five matches, leaving the title to be settled by the head-to-head result between the two sides.

That crucial encounter came early on Saturday and proved to be one of the games of the tournament, with Manchester edging out Letchworth 6-5 in a thrilling contest. As it turned out, those two points would be enough to separate the teams when the final standings were calculated.

Manchester followed that result with victories over Farnham (8-4), Sheffield Wildcats (10-3) and Soham (6-3), bouncing back strongly from their only defeat of the weekend against RHC Invicta.

Letchworth pushed them all the way. Wins against Soham, Sheffield Wildcats, Farnham and Invicta ensured they remained firmly in the title race until the final round of fixtures, but the single-goal defeat to Manchester proved decisive.

Soham completed the podium places after impressive victories against Sheffield Wildcats, Invicta and Farnham, while Invicta, Farnham and Sheffield Wildcats all played their part in an entertaining and highly competitive weekend of hockey.

๐Ÿ”Ÿ๐Ÿ† DE CIMA: TEN IN A ROW FOR KING'S LYNN ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ”Ÿ

There are champions. There are great teams. And then there are teams that define an era.

This season, King's Lynn Rink Hockey Club have achieved something truly extraordinary, securing their tenth consecutive Premier League title and completing yet another League and Cup double.

Ten championships in a row.

Take a moment to consider what that means.

Over the course of a decade, players come and go. Teams rise and fall. Rivals strengthen. New generations emerge. Maintaining success for a season is difficult. Maintaining it for ten consecutive years is almost unimaginable.

Yet through changing squads, evolving opponents and the relentless pressure that comes with being the team everyone wants to beat, King's Lynn have remained at the summit of English roller hockey.

At the heart of this remarkable achievement is a culture built on commitment, accountability and excellence. While the personnel may have evolved over the years, the standards have never dropped. The club has created a winning environment where every player understands what it means to wear the shirt and uphold the legacy built by those before them.

Leading that charge has been captain Josh Taylor.

Year after year, Taylor has delivered performances at a level few players have ever reached. Consistently among the league's standout performers and goalscorers, his influence on this team has been immeasurable. His leadership, standards and relentless desire to improve have helped set the benchmark not only for King's Lynn, but for the sport as a whole.

This year's title โ€“ their "Decima" championship โ€“ is another chapter in a story that has become one of the greatest dynasties English roller hockey has ever seen.

Adding to the celebrations, King's Lynn's Senior Female team secured the Female Premier League title in their very first season before completing a League and Cup double of their own. It is a reflection of a club-wide philosophy that pursues excellence at every level and continues to raise standards across the game.

Success on this scale is never achieved by players alone.

It belongs equally to the coaches who have guided the team, the volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes, the families who have supported every step of the journey, and the loyal supporters who have travelled the country over the years to cheer on their club.

Together, they have built something special.

A team for the ages.

A decade of dominance.

Ten consecutive Premier League titles.

A legacy secured forever in the history of English roller hockey.

Congratulations to everyone connected with King's Lynn Roller Hockey Club on an achievement that deserves recognition far beyond the trophies themselves.

The Decima Champions. The standard bearers of a generation. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ†

An interesting statistic: despite winning 10 consecutive Premier League titles, only 27 different players contributed to those championship-winning squads across the decade. Even more remarkably, the core group of Josh Taylor, Ryan Barnes, Jack Tucker and Jamie Griffin were present throughout almost the entire dynasty, demonstrating the continuity and culture that underpinned King's Lynn's sustained success.

A huge congratulations to all of our cup winners, finalists and participants. Reaching Grand Finals Day is an achievement in itself, and every team played their part in creating a memorable occasion.

Special recognition must go to King's Lynn, who completed a remarkable double league & cup double by lifting both the Senior Female and Senior National Cups to go alongside their league titles already in the bag!

For the senior side, the victory caps an extraordinary season that has also seen them secure their magnificent tenth consecutive Premier League title โ€” a level of sustained excellence rarely seen in any sport.

The Senior Female triumph adds another chapter to a historic year for the club, with the team winning the Female Premier League title in their very first season competing in the competition before adding National Cup success to complete an incredible double of their own.

Grand Finals Day was also a wonderful reflection of the values that underpin our sport. The conduct shown by players, coaches and supporters throughout the day was exemplary, creating a positive and welcoming environment for everyone in attendance.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our referees, officials, timekeepers, volunteers, event staff, photographers, and everyone working behind the scenes. Your dedication and hard work make events like this possible, and the success of Grand Finals Day is a testament to your commitment to roller hockey.

Thank you to everyone who attended, competed and supported throughout the day. Roller hockey was the real winner. Now we roll on to the National League Finals, which start this week in King's Lynn and Herne Bay!
