💙⚽ FROM WOOTTON TO AFRICA ⚽💙

A few weeks ago, these football shirts and boots were sitting in cupboards, kit bags and garages across our club.

Today, they are being worn by children thousands of miles away.

Earlier this year, The Woottons FC partnered with the charity Orfund to donate a collection of our old football kits and football boots to children in Africa. This week we were delighted to receive these amazing photographs showing the kits being given a new life.

Seeing our club colours being worn with such pride by children who simply love the game as much as we do is incredibly humbling and heartwarming.

Football has a unique way of bringing people together, regardless of where they live, and these pictures are a reminder that something as simple as an old football shirt can make a real difference to a child.

A huge thank you to every player, parent and coach who donated. Your generosity has helped put smiles on faces and ensured that these kits continue their journey long after they were last worn at Wootton Park.

These are more than just football shirts – they are helping create opportunities, memories and a love of the game for children across the world.

The Woottons FC (2026/27 U15s) Player Trials, this Tuesday 19th May - Wootton Park.

Evening all!
Presentation day/evening

We are delighted as a club to see there will be a fantastic turnout again this year for the presentation evening. A few things to pass over to you all to make the event an enjoyable day/evening for everyone and to help the club raise funds for future purchases and development:
*we would prefer cash at the event, although we will have card machines. The card machines have been temperamental in the past inside the marquee so if you can bring cash it will help massively.
*all tickets need to be paid for by Sunday 10th to give Priors butchers final numbers for the hog roast. No tickets including food can be brought after this time. You will need your ticket to get your food on the night. Don’t forget to get your players ticket from their coach!
*only alcohol brought from the marquee bar can be consumed within the marquee and roped off outside seating area. People bringing in their own drinks will be asked to leave and no exceptions to this will be made.
*Anyone found buying alcohol for under 18’s will be asked to leave, the bar reserves the right to close immediately if under age drinking happens, so let’s keep this a safe environment. We will be following the governments “think 25” guidelines. We’ve never had to ask anyone to leave yet in past years which is fantastic!
*as you are all aware parking is very limited and we don’t want to upset the local residents, please walk or bike if you can!
*please leave the event in a quiet and respectful manner- again we would like to avoid any complaints from locals.
*the bar will be open from 11am to get your drinks in before the charity match. The clubhouse will also be open with our usual snacks and non alcoholic drinks and the bbq will be serving hot dogs and burgers.
There will be a kiddies snack bar in the marquee all evening to keep the kids topped up with sweet and savoury goodies. Again cash is preferred
We hope some of you can join us on a litter pick the following day to help with keeping our beautiful community park clean and tidy for all.

Run of events:
Clubhouse open in the morning for our usual breakfasts, drinks and snacks
11am- bouncy castles and marquee open- alcohol only being served within the marquee. Bouncy castles will be with us all day.
12pm- hot food from Jonny on the BBQ. All Meat kindly supplied by Priors of West Lynn.
1pm- Charity Match kick off. Come cheer our coaches, adult team players and parents on!
4pm- FA Cup being shown in the Marquee. Clubhouse will close and snacks being served from the marquee
630pm- hog roast
630pm- awards start. Good luck to all your children- we’ve had a brilliant season

We’ve had lots of lovely parents ask about the possible litter pick the day after presentation.
Meet outside the clubhouse at 9am, the coaches and volunteers will already be there clearing up from the night before so anyone that can come help do a quick tidy up around the park it would be very much appreciated!!
