⚽ Celebrating our local young footballers - The Woottons Football Club ⚽

We're delighted to see a fantastic local Under-10s football team continuing to thrive both on and off the pitch.

Having played together since the age of six, the team recently completed the Mini GEAR 2K Run and have enjoyed an incredible season, remaining unbeaten while demonstrating outstanding teamwork, dedication and friendship.

It's particularly special that the players chose to recognise their local hospital, reflecting the strong connection between The QEH and the community we serve.

From everyone at QEHKL Charity, congratulations to the players, coaches, families and volunteers who support them every step of the way. We wish them every success as they continue their football journey and work towards their next goal of raising funds for floodlights to support training throughout the winter months.

What a cracking opening weekend for The Woottons 2026/27 season! 💙⚽

With the sun shining all weekend, Wootton Park was absolutely buzzing and it was so good to see our players back on the pitches and our brilliant coaches back doing what they do best. Saturday was particularly special, with our brand-new U11 Girls playing their first ever match, the clubhouse having its busiest club day on record, and the day finishing with a huge coaches & parents vs children football match! 🙌

It really was everything we want The Woottons to be — football, families, friends and community all coming together. The atmosphere around the park was fantastic and exactly what we mean when we say we are More Than A Club. 💙

And of course, a massive WELL DONE to all of our Players of the Match from across the weekend! 🏆👏 Some fantastic individual performances, goals, tackles, hard work and teamwork — and even one award that simply couldn’t be narrowed down to one player! You should all be incredibly proud.

What a way to start the new season. Here’s to plenty more weekends just like this! ⚽💙

We are looking for 1 or 2 experienced football players - Next school term (Autumn) Year 6 preferred, but Year 7 welcome. We will be competing a year above our age group (U12) in NCYFL 9v9 format, making this a great challenge for ambitious and capable players - please get in touch - Training Thursdays, Wootton Park 6:30pm
