We finish off our cup round up with the U15 Whites who hosted Starcross today, coach Chris had this to say about the game
“Today we welcomed Starcross Dons to our home ground for a cup game. Starcross Dons are a well-respected side playing in a higher division, so the boys knew they were facing a very tough and skilled team. Despite that, our boys gave absolutely everything. Every single player worked incredibly hard, listened to every word from the coaches and, most importantly, not one of them gave up. The 4–1 scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. Without the effort, determination and commitment shown by the boys, the score could have been very different. They battled right until the final whistle and came off the pitch with their heads held high, showing great respect to the Starcross players. Martin and I couldn’t have been prouder of the attitude they showed today and the boys were rightly praised after the game. A tough cup game, but a performance full of effort, teamwork, respect and character.”
