Do you love a TOMBOLA? Then pop along this Wednesday to St Stephens Shopping Centre and help us raise funding for our charity.

The last few times we have held a Tombola we have been so overwhelmed by the generosity and interest of all who have played or asked us questions about volunteering.

We hope this Wednesday (July 31st) its YOU we get to say hello too!

The Tombola will be set up and running by 10.30am

See you there!

Volunteer - Independent Visitors Project - Hull Volunteer as an independent visitor in Hull

Read what one of our amazing Independent Visitors has shared about their experience of volunteering ...

Hello, I'm an independent mentor for a young person in Hull, and I've been accompanying them for about two years now. Over this period, I've witnessed a remarkable transformation in their outlook on life and their self-confidence. Observing their growth into a wonderfully confident individual is precisely what motivated me to join this service.

My passion lies in making a tangible difference in the lives of those who have faced adversity not of their making, particularly in the realm of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH). During our sessions, we engage in various activities like Gravity, bowling, and arcade games. Since my young person is deeply interested in computer games, I ensure that our visits revolve around their interests, as fostering this connection is vital for building trust and rapport.

Our sessions always conclude with a cozy moment over hot chocolate and cake or a trip to Burger King. It's during these times that my mentee opens up, and this is where my role truly comes into play. I cherish every moment spent with them.
