Thank you for your lovely review Kristina # # #

Cannot recommend enough. After struggling to find a swimming class suitable for my little boy (now 16 months), I genuinely started to give up on the prospect of swimming lessons as we haven’t had much luck. First lesson with Alison and we were instantly at ease. Her calm confidence is exactly what my boy needs. There’s no pressure, just a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with play. I saw my son’s confidence grow already in our first lesson and even more so the second week where he’s actively jumping in the water and kicking his legs trying to swim rather than being clung to me for dear life. I actually look forward to going now and can’t thank Alison enough for giving us such a positive experience. You’re the best! Thank you!

Couldn't have put this better myself when parents ask why their child doesn't seem to be progressing and I try to explain.....

Progress in swimming does not happen evenly.
It comes in windows.

Short periods where something suddenly clicks.

A feel for the water.
A stronger catch.
A more efficient stroke.

Then...nothing.

Weeks where it looks like everything has stalled.
Or even gone backwards.

This is not lack of effort.
It's how development works.

The body is changing as muscles develop to accommodate technique change.

Coordination is adjusting.
Strength is catching up.

And then, without much warning, progress appears again.

Parents often try and push progress to happen sooner.

More sessions.
More focus.
More urgency.

But development cannot be rushed into existence.
It can only be supported until the window opens.

The role of the environment you create is not to force progress.
It is to be ready for it.
