Congratulations to Hedon Rangers Royals U13s on winning the league. Really good battle and we’re looking forward to more battles next season

With the season coming to a close with 1 game remaining, we would just like to thank the Coaches, Players and Parents for a brilliant season.

Unfortunately we can now only finish in 2nd place but still with a current standing of 17 wins 3 draws and 1 loss scoring a massive 157 goals and conceding 32 goals with 6 clean sheets in 19 league games that was played is some going.

We would like to thank East Hull Sporting for the current season.

As we come to closing off the season we will be under the new name and identity of AFC Holderness. Same coaches, same team but with new energy.

Beverley Town vs East Hull Sporting

As the seasons coming to a close we played Bev for the 2nd time, This time Bev had a full strength squad. With a slim hopes of us chasing Hedon for the title we knew it was another must win game. We hit the ground running, coming straight out with confidence full on pressing and not allowing Beverly much time on the ball.

Not the best game for us by any means but we still stuck to the plan limiting shots from the opposition and taking our chances when in front of goal. Unfortunately for Bev the keeper went off in the 2nd half but made Many brilliant saves before that. All the goals were well worked but 1 goal we will mention is the rocket from Chaz picking the ball up from between half way and the box and rocketing it past the Bev keeper.

Harry - always a threat in the opposition box and from goal scorer to provider as well. Good team effort today

Chaz - once again gets an award for his game. Scoring goals from tight angles to rockets. When Chaz has confidence he’s a next level player

Mill Lane vs East Hull Sporting

Another dreaded night game but tonight the lads showed up in fine form. Dominant in possession passing and moving the ball around and scoring some fine goals along the way. Mill lane never gave up and didn’t let us stop until the final whistle.

Archie, Harrison, Jacob & Lewis - these 4 took it tonight controlling the game in individual areas of the pitch either stopping attacks or creating them.

Chaz - Wow! What a game for Chaz yesterday his confidence was through the roof and he was on fire, going on deadly runs, scoring some beautiful goals and also turning provider too.

As the seasons coming to a close. We will be on a new venture as AFC Holderness u14’s and we’re looking for a couple of new additions to join our club all positions considered.

We’re hoping to get on a 3G for our home games which we have secured loads of sponsors already to cover the costs.

East Hull Sporting vs Hull United

The dreaded night game

The game started with some really good football from both sides but it was United who got the 1st goal from a tame free kick that we failed to deal with. After getting a goal back the game settled with both teams still pushing on but United got another goal. We managed to get 2 quick fire goals and hoped to push on but plenty of missed chances and scuffed shots and a few 1v1 chances we should have been better on but credit to the keeper putting his body on the line, we just knew it wasn’t our night and United got the equaliser.

Well done both teams, good game of football to watch, but any chance of us catching Hedon now looks gone. Fight for 2nd place is on.

East Hull Sporting vs Nafferton

After a very competitive 1st game where we didn’t take our chances we knew we would have a game on our hands today. This was a game that had both teams battling for every ball. We went 1-0 up before Nafferton levelled. After a couple of tame shots at the keeper and a couple of 1 on 1’s which the keeper dealt with brilliantly we eventually got a couple of goals to put the game to bed.

Billy - read the game really well and was straight off his line picking up the ball before the opposition could cause and issues

Ryan - controlled the game really well breaking down attacks and driving the team forward with well worked bits of play

PMOM

Charlie - came off the bench and brought lots of energy and also getting his self on the score sheet

We are potentially on the look out for 1 or 2 players for next season. All positions considered

We have a great set of lads who play some beautiful football as a team working the ball about the pitch and not 1 player who runs the show.
