Lambwath Lionesses 2026

Another great session tonight with the girls, we started the night with our warm ups being dynamics into passing, then we moved onto our waves. Our first drill was a 3v2 attackers drill, trying to move the ball through hands. Then we went into our defensive drill with some 1v1s and 2v1s. Finishing off with a game at the end with some really nice stuff on show. The girls are getting better every week great effort from all of them.🦁

Training next Wednesday 6 till 7 Eastmount playing fields.

The main focus of the night was defence, with our drills consisting of a lot of 2v1 and 3v1 tackling. We then finished off with a small sided game with some really nice rugby being played. We just want to say a massive well done to one of our lionesses, Olivia, she smashed it at Butlins alongside her team Lambwath Lions ARLFC Under 10’s 2026 Season. They also went on to collect the fair play award, well done all.🦁

Strong numbers again tonight Lionesses🦁

Tonight the main focus was on defence, starting off with our defensive line. Then we moved into a 2v1 tackle technique which was picked up pretty quickly by the girls. Then into 1v1, 2v1 & 3v1 defending situations. Finishing off with bulldog and a game. Great stuff tonight, hope to see you all there next week, 6-7 on Eastmount.

Want to say a massive well done to our 4 girls that made the long journey across the Pennines to Ormskirk today to play in the NINES girls festival. Couldn’t be any prouder of them all, they all played amazing🦁

Another great session tonight, we can see the progression every time we train. The main focus of the session tonight was to concentrate on our passing.

We started of with our dynamics, then into our waves trying to get as much of ball in hand as possible.

Then we went into a couple of passing drills, showing our newer girls the fundamentals of the catch and pass. We then went into a 2v1 decision making drill which all the girls picked up pretty quick.

To finish we just want to wish 4 of our u10s girls good luck, as they take part in a girls only festival in Lancashire on Saturday, Olivia, Lilly-Mae, Hilux and Summer. 🦁🦁

Next training session is Wednesday 06th May, 6-7 on Eastmount.

Great numbers again tonight, good to see how much we’ve grown in just a few weeks.

Started off the night with our dynamics, then moved on to a game of sneak tag to test the girls reaction speeds.

We then worked on our defensive line speed and then went into some agility 1 v 1’s and expanded into 2 v 1’s.
