No Class Tonight 10 Oct 22

Hope everyone’s practice is going well🙏
Please note there will be no class on Monday 15th August.

Great class tonight, the guys are really progressing and we had a new starter who fit right in…

Lots of stress and anxiety about at the moment with COVID still hanging around and the state of the economy. T’ai Chi is a great way to release all that tension, why not give it a go?

My personal preference is to practice in silence, but I know some practitioners like to have accompanying music...
For anyone wanting music to play in the background while practising Qigong or Tai Chi, I can recommend this:
Zhan-Zhuang Gong Music - Martial Arts Music for Physical Fitness by Wang Xu-Dong & Wang Jian-Yuan Album · 1980 · 4 Songs
Latest video is available on the group page... this time with sound ☺️

1st class completed… thanks to everyone who came, great to meet you all🙏
Next week we’ll progress a little further with the T’ai Chi form and look closely at our footwork and body alignments.
If you can, find five or ten minutes each day to practice the movement of commencement… start with just the movements - arms raising out to the front, turn palms to face forward, draw back then push down.
Then practice coordinating breathing with the movement.
Then practice focussing on the feel of the energy of each movement -
Peng/expanding and raising as the arms raise
Ji/projecting forward as you turn the palms
Liu/drawing in as you bring the arms back
An/pressing down as you push the palms down
