East Riding Rangers under 10's

What a phenomenal tournament display from the East Riding Rangers! The team put on an absolute masterclass in teamwork, skill, and sheer determination from the very first whistle.

The Group Stage: Total Dominance

The Rangers hit the ground running and simply refused to be beaten. Out of their 5 group games, they secured 4 brilliant wins and 1 draw, playing some of the most amazing football we've seen from them all season.

What makes this run even more incredible is the rock-solid defense and work ethic—the team conceded just a single goal across the entire group stage!

The Semi-Final Heartbreak

After storming through the groups, the Rangers booked their place in the semi-finals. It was an absolute thriller of a match that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Despite some incredible attacking plays and relentless effort, it ended in an amazing 0-0 deadlock.
Sadly, football can be a cruel game, and the boys narrowly missed out on the final after a tense penalty shootout. While it's always tough to lose on penalties, they walked off the pitch with their heads held incredibly high.

🏆 Special Honors & Mentions
While every single player gave it their all, a few extra shouts are well deserved:

Coaches' Player of the Tournament: Isaac Moore – Isaac put on a clinic out there, executing the game plan perfectly and showing exactly what it means to be a team player.

Parents' Player of the Tournament: Charlie Day – Charlie caught the eyes of everyone on the sidelines, winning the parents' vote for a fantastic, high-energy performance.

Special Mention: Seb (GK) – A massive shoutout to our goalkeeper, Seb. Despite not feeling 100% on the day, he showed incredible grit and heart, giving 100% on the pitch to keep the opposition at bay. That is true Ranger spirit!

Tonight the boys played a friendly against YPD instead of training this week.

The boys all played with energy tonight and pressed very well to close down space and passed the ball very well when we had the ball! They were all Looking for players in space with some really good team goals scored! it was a great team performance tonight.

We go onto our home ground tournament on Saturday afternoon ⚫️🔴⚽️

Today the boys played in the Esperanza U10 Tournament and what a day it was, they did not concede one goal until the very last minute, every single one of them ran their hearts out and did everything we have asked of them right from the very first whistle right up until we where unfortunately going home after the Quarter Finals.

They should all hold their heads high and be proud of themselves.

Parents Players was a tie between 3 boys, very well deserved for all of them, well done Aidan, Leo & Charlie 👏🏻 ⚽️⚫️🔴

Coaches Player rightly so went to Seb, the absolutely amazing goal keeper he is, well done 👏🏻 ⚽️⚫️🔴

Tonight the boys played a friendly against Tickton. The first time the boys have played 9v9 and they did not disappoint, they all covered every inch of the pitch working brilliantly as a team, supporting and helping each other. 🔴⚫️

Parents player/s was a joint one and went to Thomas & Charlie for their brilliant effort tonight. Well done boys 👏🏻

Coaches player was decided by the oppositions coach and went to Isaac, an absolute powerhouse all over and drives the ball brilliantly. Well done 👏🏻
