With the end of the season here, we say farewell to Akshay Chandran.

A brilliant season on the field:

1050 Runs, ending up the top run scorer in the league.

42 League Wickets ending up the 6th highest wicket taker.

However beyond the stats lies the real picture.

100s of children aged 5-12 coached at softball every week right up until the end of the season.

The women’s training and games supported.

Down at the ground almost every night continuing to work on his own game and offer support and advice to any junior or senior who asked regardless of age or ability.

Thank you so much for this season Akshay and good luck for the coming months.

Another amazing step forward for the club!

Last night, we fielded our first ever Under 13s girls game!

For many of them, it was their first ever game of cricket but they all did absolutely amazing, playing against Carlton Towers.

Well done to all involved!

Final matches of the season. Good luck to everyone!

We are so proud of our Women’s section this year.

We have worked so hard to get to a point where we were able to field, 2 teams in the indoor softball league, attend every summer softball fixture, and put 11 players out every week in the women’s hardball league.

There have been some fantastic performances which ended up with the ladies just narrowly missing out on promotion! An amazing effort for their first season of hardball cricket together.

Most importantly they have created an amazing environment where players of all ages encourage each other, have fun and look forward to playing!

A special mention to Coach Bunn, who has been at the helm this year and put so much of his time into helping the ladies get better!

Well done ladies!
