The derby no more needed to say one fixture I can say both teams look forward too a draw in the first one see what this one holds

First half kicked off and it started off a very much 50/50 game untill the first 10-15 mins when an ball in to the feet of Harvey he then turned his man bullied his way through and got his shot off to make it 1-0 barham, being 1-0 down crows turned on the pressure and put us under a massive amount of it coming close a few times but their goal came through a penalty what was dispatched by Jack Lawson to make it 1-1 with that goal crows kept piling it on, barham defence was staying strong untill a corner got swung in and was met by the head of Joe chadburn to make it 2-1 crows, barham went in 2-1 down at half time and crows being the better team

Second half kicked off and barham had a word with themselves and came out stronger starting to play football chances still coming to both teams but no one could convert them till a free kick got delivered in and a bit of a scramble the ball came out to Jacob brown who hit a shot what looked to be going wide (he’s claiming the assist) for Harvey talbot to poke home past the keeper level once again and back to the game being a back and fourth battle both teams trying to carve out chances but none being taken, must have been around the 80th minute mark when barham got a corner what was whipped in to the front post by Billy Edward’s for James kitching to head past the crows keeper and made it 3-2 barham credit to crows they threw everything at us but the barham defence stood strong and seen the game out for a barham win in the derby

🟡🔵 Matchday 🟡🔵

2 results this week one for the last week and one from this week, last week saw us come back to our first game in a few months and a week off for Christmas against preston and you could tell as we didn’t get out of gear 1 and fall to a 5-2 loss

This week saw us try to put things right against north ferriby sporting reserves looking to take all 3 points on offer

Game kicked off and barham started the brighter getting our football flowing and creating chances but the first goal came from a defensive mistake what Lewis Malton played to Alex Wray who beat his man and slotted away into the bottom left corner 1-0 barham, more of the same commenced and barham piled pressure on ferriby a great whipped ball from Harry campion found Lewis Malton to first time finish 2-0 barham, wasn’t long before barham added another Adam Kirk found himself on the end of a ball over the top and lifted it just over the keeper and in off the post for barhams 3rd 3-0 barham, another great ball in from harry campion yet again found Lewis Malton and his first touch set him up to beat 2 defenders and slot him for his second and barhams 4th 4-0 barham, lewis Malton soon to turn provider found Adam Kirk in the box, he brought the ball down set him self and rifled home his second of the game 5-0 barham and that’s how the half ended

Second half kicked off and barham still had a good grip of the game but started to take the foot off the gas and slowed down providing north ferriby with a goal of their own making it 5-1, fair few chances went begging for barham and on another day could have added more to the score line FT 5-1 barham

🔵🟡 Matchday 8 🔵🟡

Sunday saw us take on rosedale rangers who sat top of the league and unbeaten coming into this game

First half kicked off and it was barham who started the brighter of the two playing some lovely football finding joy down both channels and it was a ball over the top down the right channel what found Kieran Johnson who composed him self to square across to James kitching for a easy tap in 1-0 barham, and it didn’t stop there shortly after James added another one to the scoreline making it 2-0 barham, our 3rd came when yet another pin point ball over the top found Lewis Malton through 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper all that was left to do was slot it home and that he did making it 3-0 barham, the 4th goal for us came through the penalty spot when James kitching was brought down by the goal keeper and he stepped up and dispatched it making it a hat rick for him self HT 4-0 barham

Few changes at half time for barham and we came out still controlling possession but trying to force it too much looking to add more goals and that was our downfall we let rosedale back into the game with them pulling one back with a neat finish 4-1 barham still, it was an end to end half none of the two teams could find the end result that was until yet again James kitching hit a pin point finish in to the top right corner of the goal from just outside the 18yard box, but the goals didn’t stop there rosedale pulled another one back from the penalty spot to make it 5-2 and that’s what it fishing FT 5-2 barham

🔵🟡 matchday 7 🔵🟡

Yesterday saw us return to league action after 4 weeks without a game, a tough fixture and one both teams look forward too

First half kicked off and crows started the brighter team winning there 1 on 1 battles, but it was barham who took the lead from a Tom Robinson corner and neatly put away by Harvey Talbot 1-0 barham, more of the same after that as crows piled on the pressure and barham couldn’t get going and wasn’t long before crows equalised through Leon Todd, crows soon added another this time coming through Jack Lawson making it 2-1 going into half time HT 2-1 crows

Barham had a word with them selfs and a few changes and they came out and found their feet playing some good football in tough conditions but was still to find the back of the net, we thought our luck had changed when we got awarded a penalty up stepped Lewis malton who couldn’t dispatch forcing the crows goalkeeper into a good save, the game looked dead and buried when Leon Todd grabbed his 2nd of the game 3-1 crows, time was running out for barham 5 minutes left on the clock and up step Harvey Talbot bagging 2 in 5 minutes and making it a hat-rick for him self FT 3-3

Great game of football in bad conditions, but thanks to AFC Crows for another great game 👍🏻

🔵🟡 matchday 6 🔵🟡

Sunday saw us in league action against Preston at home hopefully taking 3 points and our 2nd win in the league

First half kicked off and couldn’t have Been a better start for barham billy edwards latched onto a defensive mistake to easily slot past the Preston keeper, not long after that Preston equalised through barham not clearing there lines from a corner, it didn’t stay 1-1 for long as a ball over the top found billy to square across the 18yard box to James kitching to slot home 2-1 barham we soon added another one from the penalty spot after a handball by the Preston defender calmly dispatched by Harvey Talbot, Preston put the pressure on and soon was rewarded by a penalty to make it 3-2 at the end of the first half

Second half started and we picked up from where we left off with a ball through finding Tom Robinson to then square once again to James kitching who beat his man and added another one for barham, and they kept coming Harvey Talbot ran through the defence and neatly put one past the keeper at his front post, he also cut in and whipped one in from the right hand side no chance for the keeper he then also added his 4th with a neat finish, billy edwards also grabbed him self a brace with his second of the game then with 20mins to go we received a straight red, Preston did end up putting 3 past us late on in the game one being a penalty again but the 10 men of barham seen the result

🔵🟡 matchday 4 🔵🟡

This week saw us return to league action away agains c-force reserves hoping for our first 3 points in the league

After a shaky 10-15 mins we got into the game started playing our football creating chance after chance and putting away some quality goals going in at half time 5-1

Second half kicked off and more of the same maybe we took our foot off the gas and looked to control the game more this half adding to the score line making it 7-1 it finished the lads will be looking to keep the momentum going into next week

🔵🟡 Matchday 3 🔵🟡

So on Sunday saw us go up against linnet Bowery in the president’s cup was always gonna be a big shift for the lads with linnet being a prem team.

First half Kicked off and with in first 5-10 mins linnet found themselves 1-0 up our defence got caught napping and a call for offside but the goal stood, the lads didn’t let it get to them they pushed on and got one back before the 20 minute mark with a goal from debutant Harvey tolbot but once again linnet found themselves 2-1 up 5 mins after we score, a mix up at the back lead to the ball finding the back of the net, so once again barham had to try find a goal to level it and they did it came from a header by Jacob Watson who’d only just came on, we went in 2-2 at half time

Second half got underway and barham started the brighter moving the ball about very well playing very good football, at about the 60th minute mark a lovely strike from about 30yards from Harvey again beat the linnet keeper and barham found themselves 3-2 up, not long after linnet equalised and made it 3-3 not long left of the game now about 80th minute barham get a corner gets swung in for Callum Mcbride to get his head on to it and put it beyond the linnet keeper 4-3 barham, but in the last minute of the game a very controversial indirect free kick was given to linnet who played it quickly while the ref was still dealing with an incident on the pitch and they put it in the back of the net leading on from this the barham keeper was sent off meaning we was going in to pens without our keeper, but fair play to linnet back and fourth game all the way through and they got the result on pens beating us 4-2

🔵🟡 Match day 2 🔵🟡

This we saw us take a trip to north newbald to for our 2nd game of the season as we try to kick start our season after a loss last week

1st half

First half kicked of and both teams we’re well match both sides playing good football with barham having the upper hand with us creating a few more chances and was much the same in the first 20-30mins last 15 mins saw both sides trying more and more to break the dead lock forcing debutant Aaron bowman in to some great saves between the sticks, but the more clear cut chance came from a ball over the top where James kitching was waiting but didn’t get the connection he wanted to and the keeper saved

2nd half

Few changes made at half time and it showed took abit for barham to find their rhythm and newbald had the upper hand for the first 10-15 mins but the defence stood strong in to the 25 minute mark and a ball out wide to James kitching isolated him and the newbald full back James beat his man traveled in to the penalty box and got brought down no questions stone wall pen, up step Lewis malton to convert it into the bottom right corner the game settled down after this back and fourth for good 10 mins then a scruffy mix up in the box lead to newbalds winger getting a shot off bowman got a hand to it but wasn’t enough and it went in all square 1-1 barham tried to rally on and push for a 2nd but it wasn’t to be a hard fought draw for both teams
