After our first season in the Saturday League, we are looking to add some more talent to the squad ⚽️

Greenwood vs Cross Keys (1-2) ⚽️

Really disappointing today to come out with zero points after being the better side, not finishing chances is what’s killing us this season.

First half was an even battle and ended 1-1, However second half we took complete control but once again couldn’t come up with the goods to see the game off. A last minute free kick from Cross Keys nicked the result for them.

Fair play to the other team both games this year have been good fun, we move onto Bishop Wilton next week and need to iron out some of the reoccurring issues 💚

We invited out of town team Aldbrough down to Costello this Afternoon, after 2 wins on the bounce we turned up feeling confident however this was our downfall today and nearly came back to haunt us.

We scraped out a result and importantly got all the points but we wasn’t our normal hungry selves today, we need to turn it up a notch ready for these next 2 games against some tough opposition.

2 for 2 kicking off the new year right ✅

We faced a local side today and are pleased to come out on top and add another 3 points to our tally. The lads fought for eachother all game again and the team spirit is what’s getting us these results

To be honest the scoreline flattered SC Hull as we created a boat load of chances just like last week but that doesn’t mean much if we can’t put them away. Hopefully we can put that right soon enough

All in all though a good day for us and we’re pleased with the result and most importantly a clean sheet ⚔️

Great day for Greenwood as we finally played a long awaited game of Football. You could tell we had some cobwebs to dust off but once we got into the swing of things it was a top team performance.

A lot of chances created which we’re disappointed we couldn’t finish but the fact we’re creating them is a positive. The important thing is everyone dug deep today to earn us the victory.

Onto SC Hull next week 💚

Mr reliable when it comes to Greenwood he always turns up and gives his all for this club which never goes unnoticed

Today he ran Wareham ragged, Providing us with a goal and 2 assists 👏🏼

Brilliant game for Greenwood today, A 16 man squad turned up and everyone put their shift in to get us a great victory.

In a game that could’ve been double figures we’re still very happy to walk away with a dominant scoreline and more importantly our first clean sheet of the season.

After an impressive win last time out, We look to continue our form against a side who’ve also picked up some momentum and turned things around this season.

A long time coming might we add, he’s been a consistent top performer for Greenwood and today gets his long awaited award

Continuously putting defenders on the back foot and coming up with the goods, he’s a crucial weapon for us and we’re happy to have him

Greenwood gets the Victory ⚔️💚

3 crucial points earned today, and we mean earned. Every player who wore the kit for us put in a massive shift and proved to the league why they shouldn’t count us out.

We steadied the course and even after some big decisions didn’t go our way like a penalty early on and a clear offside goal, we stuck in there and showed some brilliant character which is safe to say might not have been the case earlier on in the season.

We’re coming a long way but we’ll stay humble and continue to put the work in as a unit, onto Wareham next game where we look to continue the form and earn our place in this league 🏆
