🖤🧡ROBIN AFC U16s – SEASON UPDATE 🖤🧡

It’s been a busy couple of months for Robin AFC U16s as we continue to settle into the new season.

A big thank you to our sponsors!
We’ve received our brand-new home kit for the season, and we’d like to say a massive thank you to all our sponsors for their support in making this possible. Your backing is hugely appreciated by everyone at the club!

Now onto the pitch…

Our league campaign got off to a bright start, with the lads showing plenty of promise in our opening game. Unfortunately, we struggled to maintain that level throughout the full 90 minutes and came away with a defeat. However, there were plenty of positives to take forward and lessons to learn.

With a few weekends without fixtures, the lads continued to work hard in training as we prepared for the challenge of a very competitive Division 3 this season. That hard work paid off with our first league win against Thorngumbald!

It was a tough, hard-fought game, with the lads having to dig deep against a well-organised opposition and battle through some challenging windy conditions. The team showed great determination and resilience to get over the line and secure a well-deserved win!

Last week, we turned our attention to the cup, where the lads arguably played some of their best football of the season so far. We created plenty of positives and felt there was more in the game for us, with the final scoreline not really reflecting the overall performance. Unfortunately, a few decisions didn’t go our way, but the quality of football and effort shown by the team were encouraging signs moving forward.

It’s been a frustratingly stop-start season so far, with several weekends without games, but the lads continue to put the work in and develop as a team. We’ll keep building on the positives, learning from every game and pushing to improve week after week.

Next up, we head away to Bridlington next weekend, where we’ll be looking to put in another strong performance and keep moving in the right direction.

A big well done to all the lads for their efforts so far, and thank you to everyone who continues to support Robin AFC U16s. Your support means a lot🖤🧡

🖤🧡Robin AFC Juniors Presentation & League Champions Party🖤🧡

A couple of weeks back the lads got to celebrate a very well deserved end to the season in which they deserved to celebrate in style.

What a season we have had, with a run of 16 undefeated games, winning the league and gaining promotion is something we never expected but yet dreamed of at the beginning of the season in 2025. Credit to every single one of the lads who have gone out week in and week out, defended and played with so much passion and pride for the badge.

Well done to all of the lads. We cannot wait to get going again⚽️

🖤🧡Our final game of the 2025/2026 season🖤🧡

A fun last season game to end on with position roulette. Every one of the lads came away beaming after having fun on the pitch playing in different positions and just enjoying football.

What a season we have had. Reflecting back on this season I don’t think we can quite believe how amazing it has been, having an undefeated run of 16 games, 1 draw and 1 loss is more than what we set out for this season. The aim for the start of our season was simple, we stick together, enjoy playing football and hunt for promotion. The undefeated 16 game run was the cherry on top.

Full credit to every single one of the lads, the passion that they have displayed on the field week in and week out is second to none and it has shown. We have a great team who are an absolute pleasure to coach and they bought into everything we set out for this season with their commitment ending as Division 5 Champions🖤🧡

A massive thank you to all of our supporters and parents without you our sideline would be quiet. The parents and family who put so much time into bringing the lads to training and games it doesn’t go unnoticed and we appreciate you all👏🏽 We have had an incredible turn out through the season and cannot wait to celebrate with you all next month.

We now have a well earned rest and a tournament until presentation at the end of June before heading into a tough pre-season ready to start as U16’s🖤🧡

🖤🧡 Player of the Month🖤🧡

March’s Player of the Month has gone to Charlie S⚽️

Charlie received player of the month for his resilience throughout games and training. He fought hard with his continuous work ethic and showed leadership on the field in times where it was critical. He’s had a couple of goals and a fair few assists.

Congratulations Charlie on your Player of the Month what an incredible month you have had🖤🧡
