Match Report: Hull United Reds vs Kingswood Lynx

Hull United Reds faced Kingswood Lynx in what proved to be a very tough and competitive encounter, filled with challenges but also plenty of positives to take away. The game provided countless learning moments for the team as they continue to grow and develop.

The Reds created lots of chances in the first half but just couldn’t seem to make them count, despite some exciting build-up play and clever movement going forward.

A standout performance came from goalkeeper Joey A, who was exceptional between the posts. Joey made a series of fantastic saves, keeping the team in the game on multiple occasions with bravery, sharp reactions, and excellent positioning. His efforts did not go unnoticed, earning him a well-deserved Parents’ Player of the Match.

Meanwhile, Freddie I impressed the coaching staff with a brilliant display in a brand-new position. Normally an attacking player, Freddie adapted superbly when asked to step into a defensive role. He showed great awareness, maturity, and a willingness to learn, which earned him the Coaches’ Player of the Match award.

Despite the result, the game offered valuable lessons and highlighted the progress the team is making. The Reds can take a lot of pride in their development and teamwork. Onwards and upwards

Match Report: Hall Road Rangers Hurricanes U11s vs Hull United Reds U11s

It was perfect footballing weather for this weekend’s match — bright sunshine, a light breeze, and a slick pitch in excellent condition setting up the ideal stage for two well-matched sides.

Hull United Reds started strongly and maintained their intensity throughout, showing great teamwork, energy, and determination across the pitch. The boys worked tirelessly, moving the ball around with confidence and linking up well in attack and defence. Both goals were brilliantly taken, and the defending was calm, organised, and disciplined — a real team effort from start to finish.

It was one of those performances where every player could be proud of their contribution. The coaches were delighted with how the team passed the ball and supported one another, making it a very difficult decision for Coaches’ Player of the Match.

That award went to Joey A, who produced some outstanding saves and excellent distribution to help the team keep a clean sheet. His composure and awareness throughout the game were first-class.

The Parents’ Player of the Match was Ade, who impressed with his tenacious tackling and strong defensive play. He never stopped working and gave a fantastic account of himself.

A brilliant all-round team performance from the Reds — full of hard work, spirit, and quality football.
