The Hall Road derby is here! 💙💛

This Sunday morning, your Warriors return to league action as we welcome Hall Road Stingrays to Oak Road, with a 10:00am kick-off.

Both sides come into the game looking to bounce back after cup disappointment last weekend, so we're expecting a competitive and hard-fought derby as both teams battle for three important league points.

It's been a challenging start to the league campaign for the Warriors, but there have been plenty of positive signs. We've shown glimpses of the football we're capable of playing, and now the focus is on producing those performances consistently over the full 60 minutes.

Monday night's futsal session was another excellent opportunity to work on keeping possession, moving the ball quickly and playing with confidence under pressure. We'll continue to build on those themes at training on Friday as we prepare for another big test.

We're also hoping to welcome a couple of players back into the squad, which should give us a full group to choose from for the first time in a while.

As always, your support makes a huge difference, so if you're free on Sunday morning, come down and get behind the boys. Let's make it another great occasion.

👏 Futsal Player of the Match - AJ 👏

A huge well done to AJ on being voted Player of the Match at futsal this evening after another energetic and determined performance. His work rate, commitment and quality on the ball were excellent throughout, and he fully deserved the recognition. Well done, AJ! 👏💙💛

A special mention also goes to Olly, who grabbed two well-taken goals, while Charlie also got himself on the scoresheet with a great finish. At the other end, Reece continued his excellent form in goal, making some important saves and showing growing confidence with every game.

Futsal continues to be a fantastic way for us to develop as a team. With the smaller playing area and quick tempo, it encourages the players to be comfortable on the ball, make quick decisions and work hard to keep possession. As the evening went on, we could really see our confidence grow and our ability to move the ball improve.

Another great night's work from the Warriors. Keep it up! 💙💛

🏆 Coaches' Player of the Match 🏆

Kai #10 👏

A thoroughly deserved Coaches' Player of the Match for Kai after a determined and hard-working performance this morning.

Kai is a quiet player who can sometimes lack confidence, but today's display showed exactly what he's capable of. He battled for every ball, never backed away from a challenge, worked tirelessly to cover his teammates, and tracked back whenever the team needed him.

One area Kai has been working hard on away from training is his fitness, and it's really beginning to show on the pitch. His energy and work rate were outstanding from start to finish, and if he can take the confidence from this performance into the coming weeks, there's no doubt he'll continue to improve.

A brilliant effort today, Kai. Keep believing in yourself and keep working hard – well deserved! 💙💛

🏆 Parents' Player of the Match 🏆

Reece #30 👏

For the second week in a row, Reece takes home the Parents' Player of the Match award – a fantastic achievement!

Although he was far busier than both he and we would have liked, Reece never let his head drop. He produced a number of excellent saves throughout the game, showed great bravery, and kept battling until the final whistle.

It's been brilliant to see his confidence continue to grow. He's becoming more assured when coming off his line, and with every match his decision-making improves. His hard work in training is really starting to show on the pitch.

Keep working hard, Reece. You should be proud of your progress – there's still so much more to come! 💙💛

FULL TIME | Warriors 1-7 Barham

⚽ Alfie
🎯 Charlie
🏅 Parents' Player: Reece
👏 Coaches' Player: Kai

A tough result today against a very good Barham side.

We battled well in the first half and got ourselves back into the game, but conceding just before half-time changed the momentum. We started the second half positively, but once Barham added another goal they took control.

Our biggest area for improvement was our use of the ball. We know we can keep possession much better, make better decisions and work harder to give teammates passing options. The good thing is we know exactly what we need to improve, and that's what we'll be working on over the coming weeks.

Credit to Barham, who were excellent today. We know we're capable of competing with them after last week's performance, but today we just couldn't reach those same levels.

Now it's all eyes on next Sunday's Hall Road derby. We'll reset, work hard on Friday and be ready to bounce back. With our next two games at home, we're determined to build some momentum.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the boys. 💙💛

Here are your Warriors for tomorrow's cup tie away at Barham. 💙💛

We know we're in for a tough test against a very good side, but that's what cup football is all about. It's a one-off game where anything can happen, and we'll be giving everything from the first whistle to the last.

Last week's performance showed the commitment and spirit this team has. If we can match that attitude again and be a little braver and calmer in possession, we know we're capable of causing an upset.

Good luck, Warriors! Let's go out there, enjoy the occasion, and leave everything on the pitch.

Up the Warriors! 💙💛
