Rhythm and Dreams Dancing Centre Whether you want to learn a Waltz for your wedding, would like to keep fit, or simply want to socialize, make sure you get in touch.

Rhythm & Dreams Dancing Centre in Hull, East Yorkshire, teaches ballroom/Latin/freestyle dancing to all age groups and abilities with the most qualified teacher in the area, Vicki Smith. Established in January 2000, our dance school predominantly focuses on Latin and Ballroom dancing, although many other types of dance are taught, including Old-Time, Freestyle, and Modern Sequence. Located in The New Empress Ballroom on Hessle Road, we offer a friendly and lively atmosphere during our classes within comfortable and pleasant surroundings. With a lounge to sit in before and after classes, our bar provides a range of non-alcoholic drinks, both hot and cold, as well as a variety of snacks. We also have a Ballroom with a sprung oak floor and comfortable seating areas arranged around the edges of the dance floor.

At Rhythm & Dreams Dancing Centre, every child is welcome to enjoy dancing, make friends and build confidence at their own pace. Whether they’re enthusiastic, shy, new to dancing or simply looking for a fun activity, they’ll receive friendly encouragement every step of the way. 💃🕺

Children learn in different ways and at different speeds, and that’s perfectly fine with us! Our supportive classes welcome recreational dancers as well as those interested in examinations or competitions. Private 1-to-1 lessons are also available for children who benefit from individual attention, require additional support or cannot attend group classes.

💕 DRESS REHEARSAL TOMORROW! 💕

With our IDTA Dance Awards Day taking place next Sunday, 18th October, tomorrow’s Saturday classes will be an opportunity for everyone to enjoy a final rehearsal before the big day! 💃🕺

For those taking awards, we’ll be:

🌟 Running through your dances and polishing those final details.

🎵 Finalising your music choices.

🌟 Building confidence and getting comfortable with performing.

💕 Offering plenty of encouragement and reassurance ahead of Awards Day.

🎵🎶 If you want extra practice, don’t forget that accompanied Juniors and Juveniles are welcome to attend our Friday Practise Session which starts at 7:30pm; the hour costs only £3:00. 😃

PLEASE REMEMBER…

Not everyone is taking awards next weekend, and that’s absolutely fine! ❤️

We still want all our pupils to attend their usual classes tomorrow. You’ll continue to benefit from the practice, reinforce everything you’ve learned and enjoy dancing alongside your friends.

There’s no pressure to take examinations or awards at Rhythm & Dreams. Every pupil is equally important to us, whether they dance purely for enjoyment or choose to work towards qualifications and competitions.

So please come along as usual, ready to dance, practise and support one another!

WE’RE STARTING FOXTROT TONIGHT! ✨

Never danced before? Come and start with us tonight — we’ll teach you from the very first step! 💃🕺

It’s also a great time to come back after a break or, if you’re one of our regular pupils, add another dance to your repertoire.

Our friendly Beginner’s Ballroom & Latin Class is taught step by step, with no previous experience needed. Come on your own, with a partner or bring a friend — new beginners are very welcome.

If your afternoons are your own and you enjoy good music, good company and a little dancing, why not spend Tuesday afternoon with us at The New Empress Ballroom?

Our Tea Dance is a lovely, relaxed social afternoon — ideal for anyone who enjoys Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing. Come with a partner, come with friends, or simply come along and enjoy the atmosphere.

Every child brings their own personality, confidence level, abilities and dreams to dance class — and we celebrate them all.

Some children are naturally outgoing. Others need more time, patience and encouragement to feel comfortable.

Some learn new steps quickly. Others thrive through repetition and the freedom to progress at their own pace.

At Rhythm & Dreams Dancing Centre, we believe every child has a place on the dance floor. 💕

A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT

Our friendly, welcoming classes help children build:

• Confidence
• Coordination
• Musicality
• Dance skills

Children can learn and grow without feeling pressured to compare themselves with anyone else.

For some, dancing may lead to IDTA examinations or competitions. For others, it may simply be something they look forward to each week — a chance to make friends, learn new skills and enjoy music and movement.

Every child’s journey is equally important to us.

💗 OUR SATURDAY CLASSES

⭐ 3–5 years — 8:45am

You’re welcome to just turn up and give it a try if you’d like to. There’s no need to feel nervous — we’ll be happy to welcome you and help you find the right class.

1-TO-1 LESSONS

We also offer 1-to-1 lessons for children of all ages and abilities.

Individual tuition can be ideal for children who:

• Benefit from extra individual attention
• Have additional needs
• Want to work towards a specific goal
• Cannot attend our regular class times

Lessons can be tailored to suit each child, helping them learn and progress in the way that works best for them.

CELEBRATING EVERY STEP

Progress does not have to mean winning a trophy or achieving a particular grade.

It might mean:

• Joining in for the first time
• Remembering a new step
• Dancing with a partner
• Walking through the door with more confidence than the week before

Every one of those moments is worth celebrating. ❤️

If you’re considering dance lessons but aren’t sure which class would suit your child, get in touch and have a chat with us.

Tell us about their age, personality, previous experience, if any, and anything else you think we should know.

We’ll help you decide whether a Saturday class or a 1-to-1 lesson would be the best place to start. Alternatively, you can simply turn up and give one of our Saturday classes a try.

Your child doesn’t need to arrive confident. They don’t need previous dance experience. They just need the opportunity to give it a try. 💕

The deadline for getting your IDTA Dance Award entries to us is 4:00pm tomorrow, Saturday 3rd October.

Please make sure your envelope is fully completed and returned by the deadline so we can get everything organised and submitted on time.

It’s Friday Practise tonight! 🕺

Come along and enjoy some extra time on the dance floor — practise what you’ve been learning, build your confidence and enjoy a dance! 🎶

⭐ Adults: 7:30–9:30pm — £5
⭐ Accompanied children: 7:30–8:30pm — £3

Our Wednesday Beginners are especially encouraged to come along and reinforce their newly completed Rumba choreography while it’s still fresh in your minds!
