The centre offers confidential free advice and guidance to asylum seekers and refugees on matters including seeking employment, support for destitute asylum seekers, obtaining healthcare, obtaining citizenship, advice on benefits, support with corresponding with the home office and UKBA, and obtaining housing.
The 167 Centre is active in community projects that promote cultural diversity and racial tolerance in Hull. We are currently running a myth busting project in local schools and colleges that challenges the negative stereotypes of asylum seekers and refugees.
We also offers free access to a fully qualified legal professional on Wednesdays who offers advice on the UK asylum and immigration system.
