Lecturer and Course Leader on the Dance and Musical Theatre Degree programmes and Fe performing Arts at Hull College. I am originally from Watford and trained at Stella Mann College graduating with level 6 Trinity National Diploma in Musical Theatre and Adv 2 ISTD qualifications in Ballet, Tap & Modern and Adv 1 RAD. I worked as a professional singer, dancer and dance captain for over 12 years all
over the UK, Europe, America and the High seas. I still have opportunities to perform but mostly focus on the delivery of workshops, guest lectures, choreography, and teaching within the North East and Humber after achieving my PGCE (Huddersfield University). Within my teaching I have successfully course designed, written, validated and Course Lead: BA(Hons) Performance (University of Hull), Foundation Degree Dance(Higher Education Hull College) and Foundation Degree Musical Theatre(Higher Education Hull College). I like to use time in class to primarily encourage enjoyment of dance, choreography and performance. Endeavouring to identify potential in all students and work on progress and technique through demonstration, guidance and fun. Having trained and worked all over the world as a professional dancer and singer I am also able to share vast industry and professional knowledge to students as well as passing on years of dance and musical theatre repertoire.
