Tough loss for the 2s this Saturday, but for a team who are supposed to be 2 leagues higher than us, I was expecting more. Even our 1s could beat us by more than they did, but at least most of them seemed to enjoy themselves more than their own 1s team did during their match. This was only up until one of the 2s players stole her teammates goal that was clearly going in. Some of them even decided to turn into dogs and growl at poor Bethany and take out Lily multiple times. Cat also decided to hide her skills all year and ball out for this match. Wonder what happened in Spain.
Anyways, I’m just glad we were in Hull this year for varsity because imagine being stuck in Stinkoln for the rest of the night. 💩 💙💛

Well well well girls,
How embarrassing is it driving an hour at 7am to play s**t hockey against a s**t team and only win 3-0. We may not have scored but I guarantee they are still talking about us. Lincoln women’s 1s have dropped off. Glad Captain mummy showed up, then got sent off then complained the whole match, again proving just how boring the ladies 1s are. Pony plait probably should’ve been carded cause apparently hockey has contact now ? Well in Maisie at least we got our own back even if it cost us a 5 min yellow. Girl let your hair breathe, or you’ll be joining the receding goalie in Turkey 2027. “They are all freaks idk” men’s quote of the year. At least the women’s lincoln 1st decided to not be bloody boring this year and actually came out and enjoyed themselves . Speaking of growth, glad to see they still nibble at everything we say. We may be worse at hockey but at least we look like we enjoy playing it. Having all that money for coaches, pitches and everything else you ask for, not having an away kit is a tad embarrassing, is it because you have been losing or playing s**t at all your away games? “A big win” Isn’t that what you said it would be ? 2 leagues above us and can’t seem to do anything accept dish around the back. Glad to see the iPad tactics from the coach played off well especially when 2 of the goals were scored by us. Come join us in tier 5 Ladies, maybe give your 2s a chance in your league, they might actually have fun and play decent hockey. Can’t wait for next year, you made us look half good at hockey. 💙💛

LEAGUE WINNERS!!!!!! 💙💛
What a year we have had, some ups and some downs but in the end up came out on top! Well done to everyone who has played this year we have absolutely smashed it. A huge number of goals have been scored by nearly everyone on the team (Annie and Ruby - maybe next week?)
Thanks to the excellent Centre back pairing of Annie and Emma we had an impenetrable fortress all year. These other teams didn’t stand a chance (Emma & Annie., 2026)
Thank you for all the hard work everyone has put in this year it really has paid off.
Good luck for next season!!
Goals: Kirsten x2, Abi x1, Neve x2, Maisie x3, Coops x1 💙💛
Man: Libby for being our amazing fireball 🩷
Cabbage: Abi for letting the ball go under her stick 💚

It was a lovely day for hockey, with the sun shining down, everyone woke up on the right side of the bed except for Lily who managed to feel hungover after a singular pint (celebrating too hard about Gards reopening). With us only having 10 players and Newland having 14, we were still complimented on our “brilliant hockey” today. We had multiple shorts and were mainly in their half of the pitch the whole time. Holli, Simmi and Bethany had some really good runs up the pitch and we also had Alex our defender almost score her first goal! Now onto the “umpires”. Just a heads up, the sideline is no longer the end of the pitch for them and feet don’t mean a thing to them either. I think they need to go back to spec savers. Overall, what a potential great way to end the season 💙💛
Man - Holli for good runs and great positioning 🩷
Cabbage - Bethany for falling and crashing out 10mins in 💚

That’s a wrap on BUCS for this season, one final game for our leavers. Men got a telling off, freshers pulled it out the bag with their facepaint, bethany’s shoes did not untie either!! 🤯 Well done to everyone today, we had a great start some of our best hockey for this years BUCS season, but in the end it wasn’t enough (the umpires didn’t help).
Hopefully next year is better - good luck!! 💙💛
Man: Bethany and Elena - you two were incredible! 🩷
Cabbage: Spoons - please put the ball in the other goal next time.
Annie - please be less eager. 💚

DATE CHANGE: 13th March
We are hosting a joint charity match for Hull Marrow, the student body of the Anthony Nolan Charity, to raise vital funds for stem cell research. People from our clubs have known people who have used Anthony Nolan, and we would love your support.
Every 13 minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. You can help give them a second chance at life.
Every penny given will go towards:
• Adding each new potential donor to the stem cell register, which costs £40
• Funding groundbreaking research that will improve patient outcomes
• Providing information and support to patients and their families through their helpline
• Giving the best post-transplant care with our Clinical Nurse Specialists and making sure patients get the financial support they need with our patient grants.
You can also join the stem cell register (swipe for the QR code to register) and potentially save a life yourself!
- £2 to pie a hockey individual of your choice
- £2 entry to the raffle - prizes includes a £30 gards voucher and much more…
Come down to donate and watch hockey greatness unfold on the 13th💚🤍

Really well played this week. It was a massive improvement from the first time we played Goole. We dropped from 10 players down to 9 and still managed to get a goal thanks to our many post trainings. Well done girls!! 💙💛
Goal scorer:
Kate x1
Man - Kate, for her first goal!! 🩷
Cabbage - Elena for the penalty stroke 💚
