Working with Nigel this morning on a drill to emphasise a shallower angle of attack and to promote the hands to work up and around himself into the follow through.
He, like so many golfers was getting the clubhead moving to sharply down into the back of the ball leading to compensations he would make with the arms and body movement, resulting in miss struck shots!
By starting with the club on the ground and scraping it up into the ball the hands can only move up (shallower). This in turn allows the body to pivot freely and the arm release is improved, all resulting in a more efficient move and strike!

Great lesson on bunker play with one of our members Darren this afternoon. He was struggling getting the ball out the bunker, now we're starting to control trajectory and distance!
