Hull & East Yorkshire Volleyball Association (HEYVA)

A great heads up for our friends over at West Midlands Volleyball Association

The standard of the Hull and East Yorkshire league improves year on year. The GLBs rose to that standard and more this season.

Truly epitomising mixed social volleyball throughout the season every team within the club has had players turn out to play for the GLBs.

A special mention must go out to the GLB purists of Chung, Newton and Greenwood. Their enthusiasm and passion is a joy to play alongside.

Thanks to the Heyva committee for the revival, organisation, and smooth running of the cup competition.

Here’s to another season of: putting balls over on the first contact, forgetting rotations, and the occasional moment of spectacular looking volleyball.

York Colts played in the latest HEYVA League fixtures on Sunday and won both their matches with clean sweeps, 3-0. Well done Colts and coach Derek. Thanks to drivers as well.

It’s been fantastic to see these boys develop over the last few seasons. Watch out Division 1 we might have a dark horse this season.

After securing promotion to Div 1 in the HEYVA league last season, York Colts began their campaign today with wins over Bradford Eagles (2-1) and West Riding (2-1).
MVP went to James in the match against Bradford Eagles and to Romain in the match against West Riding.
Well done Colts and thanks to Derek as coach and to parents for driving.

2024 is a new era for West Riding and Bradford Eagles as the two clubs have merged to expand more volleyball across a wider area. Now we got two venues Dewsbury and Bradford as our central hubs it’s easier for the surrounding areas to attend including:

So come join us to try out one of the best sports in the world.

It is with regret we announce that the scheduled 3rd round of the HEYVA Summer Grass Series will not take place as planned.

We have worked hard in the background to ensure that it took place but due to the council not granting us use of the beach and not being able to find a suitable alternative at short notice we have had to cancel.

For the teams that are competing for the Summer Series, all existing points are still valid, going into what will now be a next and final round at York Volleyfest.

If you are looking to play volleyball in and around the Huddersfield area, when get yourselves down to these new session offered by Stapleton Volleyball.

We are delighted to announce the first running of the HEYVA Summer Series.

The series is a collaboration between the wider HEYVA family and utilises some already well established and excellently run summer outdoor competitions along with a few new additions to form a summer long tournament series.

With a £500 prize pot up for grabs the teams which achieve the most points over the 4 tournaments will take the spoils.

The first competition Bradford VOLLEYFEST on Sunday May 12th and registrations are being taken via the links below.
