Sun was shining, lads were smiling today. In nearly 3 years of coaching The Harriers, today was 2 of the best games we have ever played. Fantastic linkup plays, switching play with diagonal long passing or smart short sharp passes, using space wisely, being composed, showing strength, counter attacking, defending as a team. Just an overall brilliant two games to watch. Us coaches couldn't be prouder. Well done Harriers.
Trainer of the week went to Seth. He put into today's game everything he learnt in training the day before. Strength, composed in 1v1s, great passing and showed leadership. Fantastic performance. ππ»
Opposition POTM went to Kaylan. Brilliant game from him. He was relentless, chasing after every ball, using his speed to get past players. Created chances for himself and others. Well done ππ»
Parents POTM went to Christopher. Was excellent in defence. Blocked and intercepted everything that came his way. Got himself into a good position off set pieces. Great work rate. Well deserved πͺπ»
Coaches POTM went to Jaxon. He was solid in defence, he used his great ability to read the game really well. Knowing when to put a tackle in or use his body to block off players. Passing down the line or to feet was perfect today. The work rate was fantastic. Amazing performance ππ»

Not posted for a while. Harriers have had a mixed phase so far.
Today we hosted the Withernsea Tigers. Both games were very entertaining.
The Harriers played some amazing passing link up play. 1 and 2 touch passing. Lots of movement. Bags full of chances created. All the lads were playing with a smile on their faces.
They seem to be taking on what we ask of them in training, which puts a huge smile on us, the coaches faces.
Boys finally got their well deserved Easter eggs as we had no game last weekend.
Big shout out to Adam for getting trainer of the week. Working hard on his passing ability. Well done ππ»
Massive congratulations to Toby. Scored some fantastic goals, got and assist, but most of all his work rate was fantastic. He fought for everything and never gave up.
Looking forward to next weekend for some more entertaining football.

Phase 2 started yesterday with two entertaining games against Mill Lane.
Two very hard fought, end-to-end, physical but fair games.
Big shout-out to Christopher who stepped up to go in goal for us as Jude is recovering from a hand injury.
Chris received the player of the match for his confidence and bravery. Well deserved.
Parents player went to Arthur. Played in multiple positions, and did brilliantly in them all. Excellent performance.
The opposition's player went to Kaylan. The first game went upfront and made some excellent runs and made their keeper make some good saves. The second game was put on the wing and ran his socks off for the team. ππ»
Trainer of the week went to Jax. Gaining confidence in his own ability. Listening to the coaches and putting the training into the match. Well done, keep going.
Very pleased performance by everyone.

The boys did us proud on Sunday, being respectful with the 2 minutes silence.
Then they played their socks off in two very hard fought games against Eastrington at Kinloss.

The Harriers resilience is really starting to show. We've had a really tough time this first phase at u10s. Every single weekend they are getting better and better.
Today, we hosted Tickton Panthers. Never played them before, so all of us went into the game feeling positive. Two outstanding performances. The boys worked so hard for each other. They gave their all. That's all us coaches ask for. We are all very pleased and proud of you.
Well done Harriers π§‘π€

The Harriers started the new u10s season in group 3, with a reverse fixture, so we hosted Bridlington Rangers Sharks. They are a well organised, solid performing team.
It was a great couple of games to be involved in. The lads work rate was fantastic from start to finish. They literally ran there socks off. End to End play, great defending by both teams. Plenty of chances created.
Great to be back in the thick of it. Well done Harriers.
Trainer of the week went to our newest member Jack. We snapped him up from Kingswood Soccor School. Never playing in a team before, he has really adapted really well to a team environment. Tried really hard in training and today's games. πͺπ»
Oppositions POTM went to Achillies. After being away all summer with his family. We were sure how his fitness and abilities would be at. It was like he hasn't been away from the team. Great performance ππ»
Parents POTM went to Seth. Solid defending again. Attacked every ball that came his way. Made a few positive runs to create chances for the team. Fantastic ππ»
Coaches POTM went to Kaylan. Playing in a new position as striker. He made some fantastic runs. Created space and chances for himself and other. Well done ππ»

Harriers finally had their Presentation night. With in 5 minutes they were all sweating, running around like mad men.
Unfortunately Kaylan couldnt attend as he is enjoying the sun on holiday. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Very competitive over musical chairs and statues, some very bad loser faces when they were out!!!
Well done to Kristupas who received Players Player and Coaches award. ππ»ππ»
Well done to Seth who won Parents Player award.πͺπ»
Well done to Achillies for Coaches award ππ»
Well done to Arthur who also won Coaches award second year in a row ππ»
Us three Coaches we couldnt decide between the three of them, so they all got one this year. But next year we've told them, it only goes to just one of them.
Overall a fantastic u9s campaign. Finished off with a strong tournament at Hall Road were we reached the final or the Europa final, but missed out on Penalties. Which is a nerve racking thing to watch nevermind taking one.
Us as Coaches couldnt be prouder of the team. Well done the Harriers. Now lets smash U10s.

Oppositions POTM - Kris. He ran his socks off. Their coach said, the fast one deserves the award. He ran rings around their defence. πββοΈπͺπ»
Parents POTM - Jax. Worked hard on the right in the first game. Getting into the correct positions. 2nd game he went into goal and performed really well. ππ»

Last weekend for Mother's Day we were away against Westella & Willerby. The boys put on great performances for their Mums that were able to attend. Well done lads.
Today we hosted Pelican Hotspurs on a sunny, but chilly day. Our usual keeper has gone away on a well deserved holiday. So one of our strikers stepped up to go in goal and did a fantastic job. The whole team put in an absolutely amazing performance. They worked hard in and out of possession. Creating chances from long balls, team set ups, corners, quick counterattacks. Defensively excellent too. Arthur sprinted half the pitch to put in a perfectly timed challenge. Everyone putting their bodies on the lines to block everything. I'm extremely proud of the team. Well done boys on to the next one π§‘π€β½οΈπͺπ»

A club derby as we played Kingswood Eagles this morning.
2 very good games played in good spirits. In the first game we tried to adire to the silent support campaign. The players took advantage and used their voices. Defenders controlling the game by helping the forward players with instructions. Forward lads calling for the ball with confidence.
The second game, old habits took over, my bad!!!!
The Harriers played both games with so much confidence, which was carried over from the previous weekend. Showed great strength and willingness to win the ball. Link up play was excellent. Solid defending. Created multiple chances. Brilliant composure and skill in both boxes.
Overall an excellent performance by all.

The Harriers played Hessle Colts today in two well thought matches.
We paid respect to Poppy with a minutes silence before the game started.
The first game was back and forth. Took a while for the match to settle down. We played some great passengers of play. Linking passes together. Solid defending. Created lots of chances. Great performance.
The second game was pretty similar to the first. We have worked on pass/move and control in training and they tried really hard to implement it. Another solid performance by everyone.
Trainer of the week - Arthur has had a few weeks off due to a little foot injury. He was solid in everything he did. Worked really hard in the mini game.
Oppositions POTM - Edison. He pulled off some fantastic saves and controlled his box. Well deserved. ππ»
Parents POTM - Seth. Another fantastic performance in defence. He put his body on the line. Blocks and tackling everything that came near him. Excellent game. πͺπ»
Coaches POTM- Ryan. He had a great game. Ran his socks off. Fighting to win the ball back, then looking for his team mates to create chances. He pulled off some fantastic long balls. Fantastic performance well done. ππ»
