This past weekend The Harriers had two tournaments. Yet again the boys showed their fight and determination to never give up until the final whistle.
Saturday was at The National Elite Football Tournament. The lads gave their all. Got to another semi final. Unfortunately penalties were our nemesis again. Really proud of their attitude.
Sunday at the Andy Martin memorial tournament. The lads unfortunately got put into the higher group against all Div 1 teams. It was a hard day for them, but I think they learnt a lot. Not having as much time on the ball, so adapting their play to be quicker with their decision making and playing counter attacking football. The boys got awarded for their bravery and determination, by the organisers giving them all extra gifts at the end. Which was greatly appreciated.
Super proud of the team over this summer in all the tournaments they have entered. Always giving 100%. A well deserved few weeks off to rest their legs and us coaches to recharge ready for U11s season to start.

The Harriers finally had their end of U10s season presentation awards. A full hour of non-stop football (they need Aircon in Soccer kings 🥵)
Everyone got an individual trophy, which they were happy with. All the lads have been fantastic this year. Lots of changes in the team and coaches. That could be distracting for some kids of their age, but they have been great. Embraced the change. So proud to be their coach. Looking forward to U11s season.
Special awards.
Most improved went to Jaxon who is well deserving of this trophy. He has come along so much in the last year. He plays mainly in defence. He has grown stronger and more composed on the ball. Fantastic season. 👌🏻
Player's player goes to a fantastic team member - Arthur. He never moans, never has an issue with any of his teammates. Does everything asked of him. Gives 100% at training and in matches. The squad appreciates him so much. Well done. 💪🏻
Parent's player was given to Toby. He gives his all into everything. He is caring and respectful to everyone involved in the team. He is our little warrior. Good choice parents 👏🏻
The coach's player goes to the Harriers Warrior Toby. He has been fantastic this year. Developed his game so much. Pace, strength, determination, ball skill, finishing. He does everything us coaches ask of him. Nearly every game he comes off the pitch shattered, because he gives everything in his fuel tank. Great lad to coach. Well done Toby 🤝🏻

Sun was shining, lads were smiling today. In nearly 3 years of coaching The Harriers, today was 2 of the best games we have ever played. Fantastic linkup plays, switching play with diagonal long passing or smart short sharp passes, using space wisely, being composed, showing strength, counter attacking, defending as a team. Just an overall brilliant two games to watch. Us coaches couldn't be prouder. Well done Harriers.
Trainer of the week went to Seth. He put into today's game everything he learnt in training the day before. Strength, composed in 1v1s, great passing and showed leadership. Fantastic performance. 👏🏻
Opposition POTM went to Kaylan. Brilliant game from him. He was relentless, chasing after every ball, using his speed to get past players. Created chances for himself and others. Well done 👍🏻
Parents POTM went to Christopher. Was excellent in defence. Blocked and intercepted everything that came his way. Got himself into a good position off set pieces. Great work rate. Well deserved 💪🏻
Coaches POTM went to Jaxon. He was solid in defence, he used his great ability to read the game really well. Knowing when to put a tackle in or use his body to block off players. Passing down the line or to feet was perfect today. The work rate was fantastic. Amazing performance 👌🏻

Not posted for a while. Harriers have had a mixed phase so far.
Today we hosted the Withernsea Tigers. Both games were very entertaining.
The Harriers played some amazing passing link up play. 1 and 2 touch passing. Lots of movement. Bags full of chances created. All the lads were playing with a smile on their faces.
They seem to be taking on what we ask of them in training, which puts a huge smile on us, the coaches faces.
Boys finally got their well deserved Easter eggs as we had no game last weekend.
Big shout out to Adam for getting trainer of the week. Working hard on his passing ability. Well done 👍🏻
Massive congratulations to Toby. Scored some fantastic goals, got and assist, but most of all his work rate was fantastic. He fought for everything and never gave up.
Looking forward to next weekend for some more entertaining football.

Phase 2 started yesterday with two entertaining games against Mill Lane.
Two very hard fought, end-to-end, physical but fair games.
Big shout-out to Christopher who stepped up to go in goal for us as Jude is recovering from a hand injury.
Chris received the player of the match for his confidence and bravery. Well deserved.
Parents player went to Arthur. Played in multiple positions, and did brilliantly in them all. Excellent performance.
The opposition's player went to Kaylan. The first game went upfront and made some excellent runs and made their keeper make some good saves. The second game was put on the wing and ran his socks off for the team. 👍🏻
Trainer of the week went to Jax. Gaining confidence in his own ability. Listening to the coaches and putting the training into the match. Well done, keep going.
Very pleased performance by everyone.
