I have waited 18 years for this chapter ๐ŸŽ ๐ŸคŽ Meet ex racer (more like overgrown labrador retriever) Foggy (prev Clear Day). Brought over from France and raced for the queen, but broke his pelvis early in his career and is now starting a new journey with me in the heart of Yorkshire

He instantly passed the vibe check, and also passed his 5-stage vetting last week. I wanted to make sure his pelvis wasn't causing him pain. He's got a funny walk and will never be a show horse, but will make a fab allrounder and pet ๐Ÿฅฐ

A little unfit and overweight bless him as his current owner has been too busy to ride much, so it will be fun to build up his strength and fitness ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

I am collecting him next Sunday and I can't wait ๐Ÿค—

This is a bit sad, but the 5-Week Womenโ€™s Weightlifting Trial is officially coming to an end ๐Ÿ’”

At the end of this month, Iโ€™ll be retiring this package to make way for something brand new launching in June

This programme has helped so many women go from:

โ†’ feeling weak, stiff and disconnected from their bodies

Ah s**t ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ˆ... This time every year, I get this idea that I'm a runner (no idea why because I don't like running, am way below average and never do it unless it's in a Crossfit workout)

BUT

This year I am clearly eeextra delusional ๐Ÿคฃ

Since becoming a mum, I am craving more energy and head space, and running would be the simplest way for me to get this...so

This year I signed up to run the Yorkshire Three Peaks...

Although I swore last summer to never put a foot on those trails again โ›ฐ๏ธ

I know I can lift heavy weights and hike mountains, but running 24miles is so beyond my comfort zone ๐Ÿ˜ฌ (only ever done a 5k before)

Iโ€™ve been consistent with my running for the last 6 weeks and the difference already feels huge. My energy is better, the runs are feeling easier, and seeing my fitness improve is so motivating

I did my first 10k + last week and have shaved off 8 minutes of my 5k so far

I am buzzing with this ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™Œ

This is also what happens when someone joins our StrongHer sessions!!

Most women start feeling nervous and out of their depth, but are soon doing barbell lifts, pull ups, squatting confidently and surprising themselves with what their bodies are capable of

Not because they suddenly became fearless or super motivated

They just decided to start ๐Ÿ˜

Before you lift, pop your shoulders forwards and your hips back and up a couple of times. It's game changer ๐Ÿ”ฅ

It creates a stretch reflex in your lats and hamstrings, helping you to maintain better form and lift more ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Use the top position of the lift to clean up your shoulders and hips by squeezing your armpits and glutes, maintaining the stacking of your ribs & hips
