It's all over at the Theatre of Cadbury Bar Dreams as Staff FC romped to a deserving victory. With term-time underway, the opportunity to face off against the Students has returned and they were taught a harsh lesson in the beautiful game tonight.

The first-half was built on five well worked team goals, as the more familiar Staff squad turned on the style at will. There was a sense of focus and determination to maintain the momentum and protect the clean sheet for the second stanza. Mission accomplished as a flurry of goals soon followed from an unrelenting 'front 7' and Milosz Iwanow hung on to his clean sheet, despite occasional ventures forward from the young guns.

Our 𝑴𝒖𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 went to the man who puts multi in purpose; No3️⃣ Callum David Thompson , covering several positions for the greater good.

We thank our referee and opponents, who will no doubt benefit from the runout but they had no answer for a clinical Staff team this evening.

As we enter the 2026/27 season, it gives us great pride to announce that the University of Hull Staff FC squad is 𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 for the campaign ahead.

Many familiar names, all who offer different qualities to help support the team. A Cadbury Bar recipe that continues to hit the sweet spot.

With a crest fit for a new shirt, it all ties in nicely with our incoming kit reveal and it's a special one at that. Keep your eyes peeled, Staff FC fans. 💯👀🎓

The 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝑷𝑶𝑻𝑴 vote has a distinct theme to it again this week. With back to back nominations your headline act .ig bags the gong!

If last time out was more about the support play, Sunday night was pure unadulterated Temi time in front of goal! With six of the best, our No9️⃣9️⃣ was writing his entrance script each time from the subs bench and he certainly didn't miss his cue. Raw pace and precision timing were just too much for an ailing back line to handle.

Well done Tem. He may make it look easy at times but we know just how much skill is required to look that effortless. 🌟🎓🤍

They say that magic can come in many forms and a sprinkling of it from a certain No9️⃣9️⃣ ensured Staff FC made it back to back wins against a resolute Northern Wanderers First team.

The Cadbury Bars were out of the blocks quicker than dogs on the track; Matty Craven firing a deflected shot at goal, before a ricocheted effort from Jamie Dodd on the break and a smart finish from .ig, followed by a Wanderers response made it 3 - 1 at half-time.

The second stanza saw the Wanderers draw upon all their northern grit, punishing some loose ball in key areas from Staff. However every time he re-entered the arena, Temi had his say on the direction of the game, bagging another two with clinical finishes inside the box. The Wanderers flame just wouldn't be extinguished though and it was soon 5 - 5 and the game truly was afoot! However up stepped Temi once more of the bench for the last 15 minutes, preying on tired legs in the Wanderers defence with three more excellent finishes, including a perfectly timed lob over the keeper. This time the Wanderers comeback was truly laid to rest, despite a consolation from one of their young stars of tomorrow. 8️⃣ - 6️⃣ to the Cadbury Bars at full time in a topsy turvy affair!

Our 𝑴𝒖𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 went to stopper Milosz Iwanow, who gave the likes of Matty Craven & Sam Nicholson a run for their money with communication skills, alongside some impressive stops in a busy game for the young gun, who continues to grow in confidence between the sticks.

We thank our opponents for the game. At both 3-3 and 5-5 other teams may have wilted under the pressure but the Staff FC cast their spell and let the magic flow once again. 🪄🤍🎓

🏟️ 𝑴𝑨𝑻𝑪𝑯 𝑾𝑬𝑬𝑲𝑬𝑵𝑫 🏟️

It's Friday and there's nothing like a last minute addition to the Cadbury Bar calendar! We welcome back a combative Northern Wanderers outfit to the University. Last time out went narrowly the way of Staff but it required 💯 discipline, focus and teamwork against a very well drilled Wanderers outfit.

The Staff Avengers have assembled in double quick time for the occasion and fresh off the back of Welcome Week, can we ensure there are no hangovers on the pitch? 🎉🤍🎓

🗳️ 𝑷𝑳𝑨𝒀𝑬𝑹'𝑺 𝑷𝑶𝑻𝑴 🗳️

The 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝑷𝑶𝑻𝑴 votes have been cast far and wide this week but there is a narrow winner amongst a host of strong performances.

With 5️⃣ nominations the gong goes to .ig. The electric striker who's usually associated with multiple goal hauls bagged a brace, but much like the great man himself, there's many layers to his game.

Sunday focused on some great support play, culminating in a delicious lift, flick and repeat move inside the box that gave his strike partner the simplest of tap-ins and left an opposition defence & keeper feeling very bamboozled. That teamwork ethos is clearly not lost on his teammates. Well done, Tem!

Honourable mentions also go out to middle man Matty Craven and RB Joey Blues with 4 votes each, who both equally stood out in their areas of the pitch! 🌟🎓🤍

The autumnal chill has arrived and the Sunday night lights beamed brightly for the Staff FC squad last night as they found their groove with a flurry of goals against a Hull Yorkshire Ambulance Service outfit.

Our opponents last game was in fact against the Cadbury Bars and it showed a little with game sharpness. Nonetheless our visitors true to their dayjob showed their resourcefulness and dug deep throughout.

The Staff squad demonstrated just how comfortable they've become as a group with a series of well worked goals, so standby for those runners and riders at the end of this report.

Our 𝑴𝒖𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 went to Lee Smith, who akin to his club organising roots knitted things together beautifully like the footballing tailor he secretly is. Well done, Smithy!

We thank our opponents and referee for a well spirited game and we go again with all the confidence that a Sunday night victory inspires. 💪🤍🎓

It's the weekend, it's nearly match day and in true Sky Sports Style; it's 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 and a 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 exclusive at the University of Hull!

Our visitors are friendly faces in the form of the YAS H&ER FC. Opposition who given recent injuries within the squad, are all the more apt and as always we doff our mortar boards to their amazing work.

On the pitch we know it'll be a well spirited contest. Meanwhile off it we send on our well wishes to & as they recover from long term injuries. Two Staff FC mainstays who are loved and appreciation for their club contributions. 🙏🤍🎓
