Abuse takes many forms including physical, emotional and financial. We know that people who experience abuse often feel embarrassed, ashamed, humiliated or scared to ask for help.

If you are being abused, or perhaps are worried about a friend or neighbour, you can find out more and raise a concern here https://www.hull.gov.uk/safeguarding/worried-adult

A huge thank you to the Broadway Pavilion volunteers for organising a fantastic Summer Party, which was enjoyed by 38 residents.

It was wonderful to see so many people come together to enjoy good company, activities and the summer sunshine ๐Ÿ‘โ˜€๏ธ

With temperatures set to soar this week - up to 33 degrees, here are some tips to help keep safe and well.

โœ… Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty.
โœ… Keep your home cool by closing curtains or blinds during the hottest part of the day.
โœ… Avoid going out between 11am and 3pm when the sun is strongest.
โœ… Wear loose, light-coloured clothing and a wide-brimmed hat if you're outdoors.
โœ… Use sunscreen and seek shade whenever possible.
โœ… Check in regularly with family, friends or neighbours, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you feel unwell.

Look out for signs of heat exhaustion such as dizziness, headaches, excessive sweating or feeling weak. If symptoms worsen, seek medical advice promptly.
