Elloughton Blackburn Tournament

They’re winners in our eyes! 🏆

Super proud of all of the boys today at the Elloughton Blackburn tournament, a brilliant finish to the group stage saw us progress onto the semi finals.

They took the lead in the semi final and were in control for the first half of the game but unfortunately it slipped away from us and we ended up getting beat by the team that went on to win it.

They were all devastated but just shows how much they all want to win and will be a good lesson for them for the future.

Wishing Jett a speedy recovery, always puts everything on the line for the team! 🙏

Catenaccio JFC U8 Tournament

First summer tournament under the belt for the Red Devils. Today we travelled over the Humber Bridge to Cleethorpes to compete in the Catenaccio JFC tournament, really well organised and 24 U8 teams all battling it out, 21 from that side of the river so all new teams to come up against.

A combination of some really talented players and us not being at our best meant we didn’t advance past the quarters if the Europa Conference but definitely lessons to take away ready for our next tournament in less than a weeks time. ⚽️

AFC Skirlaugh Red Devils vs East Hull Sporting Greens

Tonight we hosted East Hull Sporting Greens at Mill House Way in a couple of really impressive displays from the Red Devils and what a way to close out phase 2 of under 8’s for us!

🏆 All the boys were fantastic tonight so we decided to give them all the POTM award tonight, thoroughly deserved in what was a much improved performance from all of the boys, was fantastic to see them playing as a team and celebrating each goal together!

We’ve got 4 summer tournaments penciled in for the boys (one of which is out of our area so plenty of new teams to come up against) and some other days out planned, including our awards afternoon in July so plenty to look forward to and we’ll continue to work on things in training to hopefully improve us as we move into under 9’s in September. ⚽️
