Safe travels to our dancers heading up to Whitby this morning to perform in the 120th NATD anniversary show at Whitby Pavillion Spa.
At this gorgeous venue overlooking the sea, 18 dancers will be performing with other schools across Yorks, Lincs and the NE to celebrate the National Association of Teachers of Dancing.
We received our exam results back his week from our recent NATD exam session and, once again, every single dancer achieved the highest grade of HIGHLY COMMENDED. Absolutely thrilled!
Some dancers have already arrived early in Whitby last night, and started to make their mark on a sunset beach 😊

💜 Adult Dance Fitness 💜
Alternating between street dance and chair burlesque, our adults class is every Tues at 7pm at Marist Parish Hall on Cottingham Road. £14 for 4 weeks - just £3.50 per class. First class is FREE
A vibrant, friendly group with a mix or ages and abilities. Join in just for fun, to revisit your dancing days, or take part in our annual show and other events.

Monday class were working hard tonight, cleaning routines ready to perform at Whitby Pavillion for the 120th anniversary show at the weekend.

After summer, we'll start rehearsals for huge performances at a national arena, our annual show at St Marys College, plus other local events.

🌟RICALL RESULTS🌟
Great night at Chelle's Summer Nights comp, everyone came away with a top three place!
🥉Fiona danced beautifully and scored 3rd in U14 Beg fast, an excellent result. Semi final in U14 Beg slow too. Consistently danced well in all categories, with lovely lines and pointed toes.
🥇Emily made recalls and Semi Finals in U14 Beg fast and slow, and then smashed it out the park for U14 Street, getting 1st place out of over 20 dancers. She's getting overlooked in fast and slow at the minute, which can be disheartening, so we were all totally over the moon for her to not just get placed, but to come first!
🥈Amari came runner up in both U10 Beg fast and slow, which means she's just gained her final grade point in slow, moving up to U10 STARTERS for her next comp, whoop whoop! Fingers crossed we can get that final fast grade point so she can change to starters before she moves up to U12 after her birthday in a couple of weeks 🤞🤞
Overall, a brilliant comp - onwards to Hull next Sunday!

🎂 HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY TO EDC 🎂
Twelve years ago I opened my classes for the first time - one class with just two little dancers - and I was nervous as hell for that first 45 min class!
Now, we've had hundreds through the doors, and so many wonderful experiences as a school! It really is my social life, not an occupation 😂
