🏆 CUP QUARTER-FINAL | MATCH REPORT 🏆
Myton Warriors Girls 10 – 16 Ince Rose Bridge Sports and Community Club Pantheresses 🏉
A tough battle, a 6–0 half-time lead and a second-half fightback from Rose Bridge saw our cup journey come to an end. Credit to Rose Bridge for a competitive game, with both teams working hard right until the final whistle. 👏💪
🏆 PLAYER AWARDS 🏆
💪 Coaches’ Player – Jaya
Known to our coaches as “The Beast” 🤣💥 and the player they’d hate to be tackled by! Jaya has had a fantastic season, growing into her position and getting better and better every week. A well-deserved award!
❤️ Captains’ Player – Maya
Maya’s consistency is second to none. Her defence, pace and effort are outstanding, and her passion for her team and Myton shines through every time she steps onto the pitch. 🔥
👏 Parents’ Player – Maya & Coops
It was too close to call this week, so our parents had to make it a joint award! ❤️💚
Maya earns her second award for her incredible consistency and commitment, while Coops continues to prove why she’s our very own Lightning McQueen ⚡🏎️ Fast as lightning, playing at full back and making it look effortless with her defence, teamwork and pace. Well done, girls!
🏉 Opposition Player – Elsa
Rose Bridge chose our captain, Elsa! Leading by example, supporting her teammates on and off the pitch, and flourishing in her captain’s role, Elsa has a huge heart for rugby, her teammates and her club. That little kiss to her Myton badge before a game says it all. A true Warrior. ❤️💚
🌟 A SEASON TO BE PROUD OF 🌟
Although our cup journey ends here, this team has so much to celebrate. Finishing 2nd in the Premier League and seeing our girls secure Pathway 2 Performance places with Featherstone Rovers Women and Huddersfield Giants Community Trust are fantastic achievements.
As coaches, we're incredibly proud of how the girls have taken what they've worked on in training and put it onto the pitch. The effort, commitment and teamwork shown throughout the season have been brilliant.
We still have our end-of-season presentation to look forward to, and training continues as we look ahead to the new season. 💪🏉
Huge well done to every single one of you. Keep your heads up, be proud of what you've achieved together and keep pushing forward. There's plenty more to come from this team! ❤️💚🔥
