⚽️⚫️⚪️ Today’s match ⚪️⚫️⚽️

So much fun for the boys today in our first end of season friendly against Hessle sporting Jackals and wow, did The Citizens turn up!

Despite the early kick‑off, the lads came out flying, and the goals flowed just as fast. We even mixed things up, letting our two goalkeepers Trent and Rex loose outfield and they nearly stuck a couple in the back of the net themselves! It also afforded two of our outfield boys Reuben and Chikamso the chance to give goalkeeping a try and the lads bravely jumped between the sticks, and together they kept a clean sheet. Teamwork at its finest.

After the match (and after polishing off their sausage and chips), the boys still had enough energy to pile back onto the pitch for their own mini kick‑about. That’s commitment! Or chaos ? But either way, it’s brilliant to see the team bonding and growing tighter every week. The bond they’re building is showing in their performances, and their improvement is clear for everyone to see.

Keep it up boys!!!!

⚽️Match Report⚽️

Wow!!! What a way to finish to the season!!!!

The boys took to the long grass at Longcroft this morning, taking on Tickton Merlin’s in the final game of the season!

Reminiscent of the length of the blades of grass on the pitch, our Hull Utd lads stood tall. And in a season-best performance; dominated the encounter, hitting double aggregate figures with a double win. They could have had more but the Tickton Keepers denied a few 50-50 goal scoring opportunities.

Great to see the lads playing with such discipline and commitment. They’re sticking to their positions, passing more, and tracking back to protect their goal and they break on the attack in numbers.

Every Hull Utd player played exceptionally well this morning, and the reward is a twelve game unbeaten tally!

Thank you to our hosts Tickton Merlin’s and good luck for the next season… hope Longcroft gets that that lawnmower fixed soon. 😜🤣

Hull Utd U9’s had an early start travelling to the South Bank this morning for a bit of fun in the sun, partaking in the Keelby Tournament for their first of the year.

Some stiff opposition awaited, but the boys did well considering The Citizens were missing a few players on the day! But the boys had a great time!

Thanks to Keelby Utd for a well organised event.

Back on League duties next weekend away at Tickton, where the lads will look to extend their great league run!

⚪️⚫️⚽️Match Report!⚽️⚫️⚪️

Hull Utd U9’s were denied the win this morning in a close encounter at Haworth Park against Long Riston AFC Rangers to take a hard fought draw.

After a somewhat groggy start, the boys put their teeth in and battled, but in the end had to settle for a score draw in both games in an encounter which saw great defending and goalkeeping from both camps.

Perhaps the mid week game left the boys flagging. The improved passing play of recent weeks wasn’t quite on point today, and we got caught with ball at feet too many times.

Not the result either team wanted, both teams could’ve nicked a win, especially The Citizens, who were denied by heroics from Long Riston’s keeper who came out on top in some tight goal mouth scrambles.

10 games unbeaten! Well done the lads, they stayed composed and professional throughout!

P.S. as we hit the milestone of double digits unbeaten, on behalf of the parents I’d like to thank Jonny and Carlos for their dedication and professionalism in reaching this achievement. Last season we lost games heavily, but the coaches have turned us into a side which is difficult to beat.

Not only that, but they’ve done it with an upbeat enthusiasm and team ethos which is inspiring to see.

Well done lads, now let’s smash the Keelby tourney next week!

⚪️⚫️⚽️ MIDWEEK MATCH REPORT !!!⚽️⚫️⚪️

A Wednesday Evening U9’s league game?
In the (slightly cold & windy) Spring sunshine?
A double away win?
What’s not to like?

This evenings rearranged fixture saw
The our lads hammer out two hard fought away wins against a resolute Springhead Rangers.

It was a determined performance by the Utd boys, who looked solid across the park. After Hull Utd took an early lead in the first game, Spinghead fought back to level pe***ng, only for Roberto to win it for The Citizens with a late run through on goal.

Roberto carried his appetite for goals into the second game, grabbing a brace, before Chikamso netted to seal the 2nd win of the evening.

Lots of positives to take from tonight, notably some resolute defending by the boys, keeping our shape and making Utd difficult to break down. The passing continues to improve, but the lads need to work on communication and calling for the ball.

Thank you to our hosts Springhead Rangers, who played a very composed team game, and we wish them well for the rest of the season.

For now the unbeaten run continues! Well done boys, they’ll sleep well tonight!

⚫️⚪️⚽️MATCH REPORT ⚽️⚪️⚫️

The sun was shining this morning over a double win for The Citizens away at Hessle Sporting Jackals.

Goals from Harry ⚽️⚽️⚽️, Max ⚽️, Roberto ⚽️⚽️, Chikamso ⚽️, and Noah ⚽️⚽️⚽️, capped off a dominant display, with the woodwork denying the boys several more goal bound chances.

The passing and positioning drills in training are clearly paying off. Defenders were winning the ball back, playing it to the midfielders, and creating either a shot on goal or an opportunity for our striker.

A special mention to goalkeeper Trent, who made some fantastic stops and helped the boys to a well deserved clean sheet in the 1st game.

100% effort put in by every one player on the pitch today. The performance of the season so far, these boys are getting better by the game! The unbeaten run continues!

WELL DONE BOYS!!!! You make us very proud !

Hull Uts U9’s turned around a two goal deficit in game one to claim the win against Hall Road Rangers Cobras at Haworth Park this morning.
The boys then rounded off the morning with another win in game two, keeping a clean sheet to stretch their unbeaten run.

A comprehensive performance all round; great defending and communication from the boys. The passing is a notable improvement, with some great goals coming on the back of balls played in and around the box.

An absolutely fantastic effort from everyone this week! Keep up the good work lads!

Hull Utd U9’s took to a cold and windy pitch away at Hessle Rangers this morning, coming away with a score draw and a hard earned win.

The boys put on a really impressive display today. They were vocal, pressed the opposition up front, and showed great character to come from behind in the 2nd game to take their 1st away win of the new season.

So many positives to take from today. All of the boys put a shift in, but special mentions also to Ruben and Parker for some great link up play.

The clocks go forward, and so do Hull Utd U9’s!
