A little behind on our celebrations of our parents and coaches players of the weeks so here is a collection of those that have taken the trophies home, the best thing has us been able to welcome two new players to our U10s and seeing how much the kids are improving and enjoying themselves week to week, up the falcons

Phase 2 is here!

What a weekend to kick off phase 2 for both our U9s and U10s, starting with a trip to the MKM on Saturday to watch the tigers take on QPR thanks to the Hull Youth League and Hull City offering a great deal for our kids to go to a game. 🐯 πŸ™Œ

Today it was a friendly for our U9s against a great team of players and people from East Hull Sporting Golds.

All the time and effort the kids have put into developing their skills over the winter break, and starting to understand the beautiful game really showed, with everyone playing amazingly well.

Parents player went to Edison who’s tackling and tracking back whilst in midfield impressed along with a few dribbles and runs with the ball that got everyone watching excited.

Coaches player went to Teddy, following up from earning trainer of the week on Friday, Teddy has grown in such confidence. After losing the ball from our goal kick, Teddy got the ball again from the next one and went on an amazing dribble. This unlocked more in Teddy to express just how good he is becoming.

Our U10s played their first phase 2 fixture against a talented Hornsea team. The biggest difference in the two sides were the amount of shots Hornsea managed to get on target that really challenged us, scoring some cracking goals. But for the U10s they looked like they hadn’t had a break, truly blowing off any cobwebs very quickly and doing themselves proud.

Parents player went to Charlotte, who had an unbelievable week during half term by getting to train at Leeds United, her energy to play as she did after such a week is spectacular.

Coaches player went to a new player Reuben, his temperament and his ability to look up and find a pass was a close second to his tackling ability.

A great weekend all round and a pleasant welcome back to match days.

Who's ready for second phase of the season?

It's with a HUGE THANKS to Nicola Haywood's Childminding Service coming on board as our most recent sponsor and helping us order some awesome Hoodies for the kids, here's the players sporting their new apparel!

It's wonderful that some of our players attended Nicola's childcare in their younger years and Nicola continues to support them beyond their time with her and the childcare's amazing team of staff πŸ–€πŸ’›

Big shout out to our U10s parents player of the match and coaches player of the match from yesterdays fixture against South Cave.

Ruby got the parents vote for her amazing stint in goal, pulling off some amazing saves, always playing with a smile on her face.

McKenzie got coaches player for his work rate, in every position he played he covered every blade of grass and helped out the rest of his team.

Our U9s got their first win πŸ™Œ

As a brand new team, the first season for all our players playing football in a team for the first time, they have made us all so proud.

To see how much it meant to them and how they all celebrated together was amazing.

As long as they all enjoy it and come to football to have fun and make friends, that’s enough for us, but winning a game today deserves a shout out and to appreciate just have far they have come in such a short period of time.

Parents player went to George for his amazing performance in goal and coaches player to Edison for his wonderful defending.

Up the falcons πŸ™Œ πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ–€

As the clocks went back our U9s woke to a cold winter morning for a game against a wonderful set of players at East Hull Sporting.

For the second week in a row Baden was voted as parents player of the match for his great dribbles and shots, that if it wasn't for the brave and talented Sporting keeper would have being celebrating a couple of goals.

And Teddy, after taking on captains responsibilities, by not only wearing the armband but also encouraging his team mates to get into shape and move up and down the pitch, was awarded Coaches player of the match.

We hope everyone has a wonderful half term break and look forward to seeing everyone in their spooky halloween costumes at next weeks training.

Huge shoutout to our sponsors Westside Day Nursery Ltd and Grassroots Admin for their continued support.

U9s are taking flight!

Week after week the kids are improving so much and today we had two falcons that were flying high.

Jack after getting trainer of the week on Friday showed tremendous ability after putting on the gloves and going in goal, making some amazing saves and finding great passes to his team mates.

Baden, after practicing looking over his shoulder before deciding if he can turn or not in training, made some brilliant decisions and made some wonderful turns, one of which led to a fantastic finish to get a goal today.

Saving goals, stopping shots and covering every blade of grass!

Last week at home the U9s and U10s celebrated brilliant performances by George U9s parents player, Teddy U9s coaches player, Charlotte U10s parents player and Theodore U10s coaches player.

George loves a celebration no matter who scores and gets all the spectators fired up with his antics, Teddy volunteered to go in goal pulling off some amazing saves.

Two newbies for the U10s saw Charlotte score some wonderful goals and Theodore covered every bit of the pitch, he was quoted saying "I am like a soggy piece of bread' after the full time whistle πŸ˜‚
