An amazing week spent working on the Montane Flare/Fusion Spine Race where the race covers the Pennine Way, all 268 miles of it. Highlights where the amazing weather/sunset we had up at the Mountain Refuge Hut near the Auchope Cairn on The Cheviot and the temperature inversion the next morning.

Wind, rain, storm Brian and gnarly conditions. But rather than cancel, for safety we modified the course and racing continued over 50 quality kilometers with on route support and checkpoints then hot food and drinks in HQ. All participants completed. Thank you for all for sharing a great day in the hills.
