Unfortunately tomorrow’s forecast is looking poor and Adventure 001 have postponed their helicopter flights due to the outlook. Sadly we won’t be opening the cafe tomorrow so you’ll need to hold off until the 10th of October for your sausage roll fix!

Fancy a tour of Scotland in this beautiful weather? Well that’s what these guys from Rossall Field in Lancashire led by James from Attitude Airsports thought. Local town suitably raided for food and beers with plans to end up with Jill and Gordon East of Scotland Microlights this evening.

We had a VW cruise join us on the airfield today. We made for a perfect rendezvous point on their east coast charity tour that ends near St Andrews. Great to see so many enthusiasts out enjoying some classic air-cooled engine motoring.

Our 21-03 runway crossover project has begun! We’ve got to break and remove over 1000t of old WW2 concrete, install 200m of drains and import + level + seed over 700t of topsoil….it did seem like a good idea at the time…🙄🥵💪

Once complete this will make a huge improvement to our flight ops.

What a difference! Our old runway crossover on 29/11 is complete and ready for use - exercise caution as the ground will settle over the next few months.

We’re moving over to the intersection on 21/03 and will commence works shortly - keep an eye out for the white crosses and bollards marking its closure.

Unfortunately the weather forecast for tomorrow looks less than ideal so we’ve taken the decision to cancel our fly-in.

We await notice from Adventure 001 to see if they’ll still be operating separately (anyone booked in will be contacted directly) but from a fixed and flexwing perspective we’ll look towards our next date on the 1st of August.
