7 brand new players debuted for our Development Team on Saturday, for the opening league game of the season! Now that's worth shouting about!
We have had the privalage of welcoming 7 new players in to the team and their journeys couldn't be more varied:
- Some have never picked up a hockey stick before coming to Back to Hockey
- Some have rediscovered the sport again, having not played since school
- and some have taken the big leap from the Mansfield Aztecs Junior Hockey into senior hockey.
At a time when we are seeing clubs close their doors across the county, we're incredibly proud that our club is doing the opposite - growing, developing and giving people a place to play.
7 new players aren't just names on a team sheet, it's 7 new hockey stories, finding (or rediscovering) a love for the game and 7 more reasons to keep building something special.
Special thanks goes to our coach Debbie Aspinall and Captain Zoe Jackson, and the rest of the club, for making their training tasters so fun and welcoming, that they wanted to become part of the Aztecs family!
