Harestanes Girls were up against a good Gartcairn white side at Airdrie Sports Centre, good competitive game, Girls were relentless from start to finish. Great effort from all. Next game is at home to Holytown colts.

Another trip to see Scotland Women U19 today at Kirkintilloch Sports Complex. This time against a strong Norway side. Scotland were the better team over 90 minutes, especially in the 2nd half. Very unlucky not to get at least a draw. A great experience for the girls to watch two Woman U19 international games in their home town 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🔴🟡🔵🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Our girls were treated to an outstanding performance from Scotland U19s on Monday at Kirkintilloch Sports Complex. A comfortable win for Scotland in some terrible conditions winning 9-0 against North Macedonia 👏👏👏

🔥 HARESTANES LET DOWN, AGAIN! 🔥

Last weekend, our community poured blood, sweat and tears into our “Keep Merkland Tidy” campaign. We scrubbed, we swept, we made The Home of Harestanes shine.

And now? 💔 It’s covered once more in litter, smashed glass, and dog waste — the result of council neglect and the disregard of outside clubs.

But the insult doesn’t stop there. While our own teams can’t even get the bookings we need, pitches are being handed to clubs from outside East Dunbartonshire. Our players are left on the sidelines, while strangers take the field we fought to protect and keep clean.

We’re done waiting for respect. 💪 If the council and others won’t look after Merkland, we will — because Harestanes isn’t just where we play, it’s where we belong.

Respect our home. Give our teams the pitches they deserve. Stop shutting us out.
