We had an enjoyable day for our 4th Brian Anderson Memorial Cup on Sunday 6th September despite the rain and wind!

71 players over four age groups from 5 – 64! Senior Purples/Junior Yellows were the winners of the trophy with the captain, Bill Leonard with 33 goals! Congratulations! And well done also to James Eccles team, the Senior Pinks/Junior Oranges for a grand game with a final score of 24.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped us make the day possible! It is much appreciated especially with the poor weather this year.

Thank you to all the referees and thank you to all the coaches and captains for making sure the games ran smoothy!

Thank you to all the local business’s food and drink donations, all kindly given by Rendalls Bakery, Crantit Dairy, J.W Grays and Tesco.

Thank you to everyone who helped us with organising, providing equipment, setting up, registrations, giving out kits/bibs, helping with the bairns, taking down and tidying up at the end of day.

Thank you to everyone who helped us run the food tent and kept everyone fed and warmed up with hot drinks throughout the day.

Blown over again by everyone’s generosity – thank you everyone for your very kind donations! We raised a grand total of £900.00 for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance!
