I am truly passionate about personal development and having every opportunity to be the best versions of ourselves that we can. I have approached my own growth in search of the Truth. What really goes on inside me that then defines my external relationships. I do have days where I think, why did I start doing this? I know I'm not alone in that. My intention is to "Awaken Awareness". When we become Aware, we discover our True Nature and Creativity. Then we can set ourselves free. Bit by bit. Step by Step. I am fortunate to have had many great teachers, mentors and friends on my personal and professional journey and love being that witness and companion for others. With 19 years experience in the field of Personal development what brings me most joy is blending the skills I have in service of what you need to find your freedom. That could be Coaching, Emotional Freedom Technique , Supervision, Mentoring. I have recently completed 2 years training as a Visionary Shamanic Practitioner - which has been life changing for me. It has added to who I am personally and professionally. Ultimately I feel more whole and that is what I bring to my clients. I have a holistic approach to my work. I believe in challenging, deep and provocative work. I coach with a warm heart and gentle curiosity. I hold the space and sit in sometimes quiet presence with my clients - creating a sanctuary of reflection and safety. Allowing you to do the work. I am here ready to work with you. What is your view of coaches in training offering free sessions?

I've seen a few posts this week, coaches looking for volunteers rather than clients.

I'm not saying it is easy to find willing participants.

When mentoring I would recommend that my mentees find two or three people to coach. Contracting clearly around recordings and what would be required.

Many coaches would want to be grateful for the mentee helping them with the recording and would say "I'll do it for free"

Why?

Yes, you are learning.
Yes, you are developing your coaching style.
And if you are working ethically - you will do no harm.

So this is a mutual experience for coach and client.

The coach gets to practice and hone skills.
The coachee receives coaching, insight and works on a goal or intention.

Know your worth and coaching's worth from the beginning.
Start there.

A payment, no matter how nominal, also creates a shift for your client. In the financial exchange a commitment is made.
That is important.

Value yourself and what you bring.

You are worth it.

You are always at choice when giving your service away for charitable and humanitarian reasons. I do that too 💜 Pro Bono work

Pro bono is a short version of the Latin phrase pro bono publico, which means "for the public good," and refers to professional work done voluntarily and without charge. Especially for situations where people can't afford to pay.

Start with a value mindset and the exchange rate is. £€$

Day 12 - Supervision Sanctuary

I was at the Pitlochry theatre 🎭 today watching The History of Paper.

Powerful, funny, moving and heart wrenching.
The energy of the audience was palpable in the moments of hilarity and then realisation of what was coming. An audible intake of breath. Hankies. Withheld sobs.

Automatic reflection from the moment we left the theatre and all the way home. Discussion, silence and more reflections. A natural loop created by a beautiful, moving theatrical experience.

My heartfelt thoughts for today?

No need to overthink Reflective Practice.
Let it flow
Meet what rises
Laugh
Cry
Be present with an open heart

Which can lead to a shift of heart, mind and perspective.

Powerful stuff.
Just like my day.
