Every garment sent to me tells a story, but they also bring completely different weights, textures, and structures.
From delicate preloved blouses to cozy, stretchy cardigans, each fabric requires its own unique preparation before I can even begin to piece the bear together.
To make sure your bear holds its perfect shape and stands the test of time, I use custom stabilising techniques behind the scenes
See-Through Fabrics
To prevent the stuffing from showing through, these need a perfectly color-matched layer of fabric placed underneath, which is then carefully fused with interfacing for structure.
Sheer & Delicate Garments
These lightweight materials need extra care—often requiring multiple, calculated layers of interfacing to achieve that beautifully solid, high-quality thickness.
Knitted & Stretchy Garments
Jumpers and knitted clothes are incredibly cozy, but they love to stretch out of shape! To lock them in place, I permanently bond a layer of stable calico fabric to the back so your bear stays perfectly proportioned forever.
