The funny thing is, progress is not always obvious straight away. Sometimes you are improving without even realising it ๐ช
Here are some signs you are getting better:

๐ฅ You feel more confident in class
๐ฅ Techniques that once felt impossible now feel natural
๐ฅ You panic less and stay calmer under pressure
Progress is usually happening quietly in the background ๐ฅ
So do not be too hard on yourself. You are probably improving more than you think ๐

Try replacing โNoโ with โIโll tryโ more often ๐
In martial arts and kickboxing, confidence does not appear overnight ๐ช
There will be moves that feel difficult, drills that frustrate you, and moments where your first reaction is โNope, I canโt do thatโ ๐
But instead of shutting yourself down straight away, try saying โIโll tryโ
Because every strong kick, every sharp combination, and every confident student started with simply giving it a go ๐
You do not need to get it perfect immediately. You just need to be willing to try ๐ฅ
Sometimes the only thing standing between you and progress is believing you can learn it ๐

That is what people mean when they talk about โfood noiseโ ๐
It is the constant thoughts about snacks, cravings, what to eat next, or fighting the urge to grab something even when you are not actually hungry ๐
And honestly, it can affect your progress more than people realise ๐ญ
When your mind is constantly focused on food, it becomes harder to stay consistent, harder to listen to your body, and easier to eat out of boredom, stress, or habit rather than hunger.
We have all had those moments where we open the fridge, stare into it dramatically, close it and then come back five minutes later like something new might appear ๐
The good news is, understanding it is the first step ๐ช
Building balanced habits, eating properly, staying active, and not overly restricting yourself can really help quiet that constant โfood chatterโ in your head ๐
