As another fantastic season comes to a close, it's time to reflect on the achievements of all our teams over the past year. It has been a season filled with memorable matches, impressive performances and outstanding
club spirit!

A huge thank you goes to all our team captains for their hard work and dedication throughout the season. Organising fixtures, selecting teams and ensuring everything runs smoothly each week takes a great deal of commitment, and the club is incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Most importantly, thank you to every player who represented the club this season. Your effort, enthusiasm and team spirit have made it another year to remember.

With two teams achieving promotion and all four teams competing with pride and determination, there is plenty to be excited about as we look ahead to the next challenge.

*End of Summer Season Round-Up*

*What a season it's been!*

This year has brought plenty of changes, and we've had to adapt along the way. What has stood out more than anything is the resilience, commitment and determination shown by every single player in our ladies' section. I couldn't be prouder of everyone who has stepped up, embraced every challenge and given their all. Watching our ladies' section grow, evolve and become stronger week after week has been a real privilege.

Over the season we've developed, improved and, most importantly, supported one another. We no longer see ourselves as three separate teams – we're one ladies' section with one shared vision: to make KTC's Ladies' Section the very best it can be. Every player has contributed to that journey, and together we've created a fantastic team culture that continues to grow.

Our Monday night sessions have evolved into structured team training, with a complete overhaul of the format. We now focus on specific drills designed to develop every area of our game, alongside our own version of the legendary 1 Point Slam each month, which has brought plenty of laughs, healthy competition and an even stronger sense of team spirit! (but I'm sure they just come along for the prize 🍾)

September also brings something new as we celebrate together at our very first End of Season Alternative Awards Night. Keep your eyes peeled for lots of photos from what promises to be a brilliant evening! 📸🏆

A huge congratulations to all three of our league teams this season:

🥇 First Team – Champions of Division 3 with an incredible record of just one defeat all season. Their success means they have achieved promotion for the second year in a row, earning their place in Division 2 of the North East Cheshire League. It's a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the commitment and hard work that has gone into the team over the last two seasons. New challenges await, but preparations are already well underway.

💪 Second Team – After a difficult start in a much stronger Division 4, the team showed tremendous character, determination and competitive spirit to finish in a very respectable 8th place. Their resilience throughout the season was fantastic to see.

👏 Third Team – Faced with the challenges of a revitalised Division 6, the team continued to improve week by week, working hard to strengthen both individually and collectively, finishing with a solid 8th place and building strong foundations for the future.

The future is incredibly exciting. Next season we'll be introducing a fourth ladies' team – the Wildcards – creating the perfect pathway between social tennis and competitive league match play. We're really excited to start building this squad and preparing them for the 2027 season.

Finally, thank you to every player, supporter, volunteer and everyone who has been part of our journey this season. Your encouragement, commitment and friendship are what make this section so special.

Earlier this year, our members came together for a tennis tournament at the club in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. A big thank-you to all those who organised this event and those who took part and supported. Together, we've raised £5,720 for this incredible charity ❤️👏

Our Ladies 1st team had their last match of the season last night (Thu, 9th of July) - and after leading the division for the whole season, they finished top of division 3 and have secured promotion for the 2nd year in a row to division 2 for 2027!

Well done, team!! 🤩🎉

We had a great afternoon yesterday, with beautiful weather and a lot of fun! 🤩

At knutsford tennis club, we host a yearly Wimbledon tournament for all members to come together and play some tennis in true wimbledon style! 🎾

The final was contested by members Luke and Karen against Efe and Vicky with Efe and Vicky coming out victorious in a professional 10 point tie break.

A special thanks to coach Mark for organising us all, and here's to a lot more tennis to come this summer, at Wimbledon and at our Knutsford tennis club! ☀️🎾

Today saw the clubs first in-house members tournament for our adults.m for 2026. The round robin tournament proved a great success with lots of battles and laughter and what could be better playing with fellow members and friends at our fabulous Club with the ☀️ shining on us .
