10 Months ago I set my sights on getting in the best shape of my life before I hit 40 & before I became the Father of 2 Children. Not forgetting continuing to sustain the running and managing of a business whilst supporting all my clients in their journeys to become the best versions of themselves too. 🫡

To say this roads been a bumpy one would be the biggest understatement of my life. 🤣 A whole load of shizzle’s gone on since then.

But what this prep has taught me is I am one resilient m**o. 👊🏻😃 I reckon 99% of people would have thrown in the towel in my sitch. But with the right support network around you, having an indomitable will and a tenacious mental fortitude, you can conquer anything you set your mind too. 🧠🔥🤩🤌🏻

I honestly can’t thank my Coaches enough for their incredible coaching and guidance throughout prep and bringing the best package we could to stage. Plus the fact we had incredible condition, and what lad won’t take the judges comments of Strong Bicep Peaks with Back Detail 🤪 We did bring some incredible condition. Thank you boys for keeping me locked in and dialled through it all being there to get me on that stage. 👊🏻 Means the world fellas. Thank you. 🙏 🥰

Like we said on the day, more Ab-Defintion and control was something we thought could be the areas of improvement and the judges agreed. So I’m more than happy with how things went. We honestly couldn’t have done any better.

A huge thanks to my family, wouldn’t be here without you guys. Your love, positivity and continuous efforts to help me push on and become better is why I can always count on you to help me strive for more.

I’ve now got more drive and determination than ever to be the best Father, Coach and Mentor to those around me. Making sure I surround myself with people pushing for greatness.

A common error for many of us is rounding our shoulders on pulling exercises. Which can often end up resulting in pulling into the traps instead of using the lats.

Over time, that pattern can contribute to shoulder issues (including impingement-style pinching) because the upper back muscles can become overactive and the shoulder position gets pulled out of a strong, stable groove.

In this video, we’ve switched to single-arm work to isolate the movement and build that mind-to-muscle connection, so he can feel the lat doing the job rather than the traps taking over.

If you’re someone who rounds your shoulders at the end of a pull/row, try slightly reducing your range. Don’t row the elbow too far past the middle of your body. Instead, think about driving the elbow back, just enough and letting the lats (the big muscles down the side of your back) do the work.

Really positive day today.⁣

I got an in-person check-in session done with my online coach, Jay, and we’re in a great place 𝟭𝟭 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗖𝗔 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀. It’s one of those moments where the work is showing up in the right areas and having an experienced set of eyes on the details makes all the difference.⁣

Jay said he’s proud of the progress so far, which I genuinely appreciate. Coaching can be relentless when you’re balancing business, family and everything else, so hearing that from someone who sees the full picture means a lot.⁣

Leaving that session with clarity, confidence, and a clear plan for the next phase.
