Evening Ladies and Gents,
With Movember ending our rugby club has raised £528 for men’s health and some of our members have partaken in “Grow A Mo” for the entire month while some more have set their own exercise goals to help raise awareness of men’s health issues and have been outstanding in their efforts.
During these difficult times its more important for people to look after themselves and to be careful, so please feel free to continue to donate to the Movember charity to continue to help all those in need.
We will continue to support each other and everyone who is in need especially during this trying time where mental well being and general health is being hit hard.

Hi everyone!
It's November, and that means our club is banding together to support the charity Movember. By working to combat a number of health issues facing men such as su***de, testicular cancer, and prostate cancer, the Movember charity aims to reduce the number of premature male deaths by 25% by 2030, a cause which our club believes in strongly.
Alongside the various fundraisers and exercising goals set by individuals, several members have committed to 'Grow a Mo', where our members will grow a moustache for the duration of this month. This has resulted in some rather fresh faces (and one who looks like he hasn't shaved in weeks somehow) to start the month off.
Sadly, far too many of us know someone who has been affected by the issues Movember works to combat. Please consider donation if you can, and help to raise awareness. Together we can help to safeguard men's mental and physical health.

Hello everyone!
UWTSD Lampeter Men’s RFC are having an online welcome social at 6pm on Sunday for anyone who might be interested in joining our team, as either a player or a social member. This social is casual so come along if you have any questions about us, or if you just want to hang out on the afternoon after a long week and have a bit of fun getting to know the lads. This’ll be the link for the social:

Afternoon everyone,
This is a long post so as a quick statement, the rugby pitch and pavilion are safe, the football pitch is becoming a development site for a food village and an Aldi.
As there was a lot discussed and a lot of information given to us, I’ll try to be as succinct as possible but if anyone has any more questions or wishes for further clarity, please email me at [email protected] or message Callum Childs privately on facebook.
This development is supposed to be a way to offer more opportunities for the university to expand by way of the food village while supporting local Ceredigion food production. The development of this site hopefully should happen mainly in the summer period next year (no actual building is planned for this year) so shouldn’t impede on students too much. Obviously, this is highly subject to change due to this idea only being in the beginning stages of planning, and the university will let us know if any changes occur. The goal in terms of the pitches and pavilion is to have a fixed up and well-maintained site that is there for the students. While the plans have many different communities being involved, they do wish for the students to maintain a priority for the rugby facilities.
We will be receiving further updates in the future when more things are finalised as at the moment many things are still up for debate between the involved parties. In terms of the pitch and pavilion improvement, they will provide us with a more concrete plan once more details are finalised, but our execs feel very confident that the university has the preservation of this historic site at its heart. The pitches will have the drainage addressed in the end deal, and the safety/security of the site will be improved. The continuation of the pavilion and the pitch site has been assured as a priority for the university and in the future we will be following that up for more concrete assurances.
The university has asked us for input in the future of the pavilion and site and how best to utilise those facilities which we will address at another date (this post is primarily just to tell everyone what has been said). Honestly, this plan does seem like a positive thing for the university as a whole, and our club in particular. The university seems genuinely interested in supporting the rugby clubs and out of this deal we don’t lose much, but stand to gain a lot of facility improvements.
Again, if you have any queries please comment, or message Callum Childs with any questions on facebook, or my email at [email protected].

So we have finally come to the end of our week-long fundraiser, and we have absolutely smashed it! Our aim was to cover 846km and raise £250... But we have actually covered 941km and raised a whopping £773!!
All of us here at the club would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who have supported us and donated to the cause! We couldn't have done it without you and all the money raised will make a huge difference to the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and the work that they do!
Thank you everyone, from all of us here at TSD Lampeter Men's Rugby ❤

Day 6 - After such a big day yesterday, the boys took it a bit easier today to reserve their energy for a big push tomorrow. But they still managed to rack up another 100km!
We have one more day left of this challenge, and it has been exceptionally tough. However, facing racism and any form of discrimination is even tougher and a battle that too many people face on a daily basis.
Our challenge may be coming to an end, but the challenge of tackling racism and discrimination isn't. It is only by standing united against injustice and actively playing a role in the fight, that real difference can be made.
That is why we ask everyone who is able to, to donate to our fundraiser for such an amazing charity who work in the UK to help fight such injustices on a daily basis. There's only one day left of this, so please donate and share as much as you can! Thank you ❤

Day 5 - What a day! The boys have smashed out an incredible 255.49kms today which is absolutely huge! Only 2 more days left to go to reach our overall target of 846km!
Just to give you an idea as to the extent of this challenge - 846km is the equivalent of walking from Lampeter to Luxembourg! So the boys really are putting in so much effort!
Only 2 more days until this challenge is over - if anyone can donate anything at all, even just a pound or two, it would mean the world to all of us here at the club - Thank you!

Day 4 - Despite numerous injuries including swollen ankles and a potentially broken foot, the boys have put in a huge shift, contributing another 138.05km today! Our total now stands at 531.19km since Monday so we are well on track to complete the challenge! 💪
Please keep donating if you can, even if it is just a pound or two, every penny will help make a real difference. Thank you!
